Hi, Astaroth.

Yes, all of these Forums and Threads can be overwhelming. A good deck to start with is the Rider-Waite Smith (http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/original-rider-waite/index.shtml) deck, or "RWS."

Try the Index here for starters. At least they are sorted a bit, and you get feedback and opinions from readers. Thirteens epistle is excellent as well. The Forums offer less technical, more practical approaches.
