How many versions are there?

Just wondering how many versions of RWS packs there are? Also how do you know which one you have? I have had my deck for years and have no idea what version it is.

edited to add I think I have the original from looking at the pattern on the back

What can you tell us about your deck? Does it have a box or instruction booklette. You mention the backs. What do they look like?

I have long since thrown the box out. I'm pretty sure it's the original. Just wondering how many different versions there are?

Yes, yours is the so-called "Original" Rider-Waite reprint from 1993. There are tons of Rider-Waite versions and clones out there. I wouldn't even try to guess how many. Determining which one you have can sometimes be a tricky business. Holly's Rider-Waite Site is one of the best resources I know of at the present time. There is also a lot of helpful info in this forum if you have time to read through the old posts. Advanced Search can be a big help. Here's a couple of links:
