repair peeling cards

madmoiselle

The Judgement card in one of my decks is ... peeling on the edge. It's separating. This means that when I shuffle, I can tell which card it is. I was wondering if it's best to glue it, or to laminate it, so that I can't really tell which one it is, so that it just feels like the other cards. Thanks.

For stuff like this I usually try a bit of pritt stick. Or something like that.
Then it should be put under a heavy book so it gets squashed flat while it dries.

I don't know if it could ever be repaied so it is like new, but at least it could be prevented from getting any worse.

Good luck.

I don't know what 'pritt stick' is - but simple paper or wood glue (such as PVC) will fix the problem easily.

Another thread that also discusses aspects of repairing cards and looking after them is 'Tarot Restoration'.

I've glued it, so I hope it will stay, and that when I shuffle, it won't come apart again.
jmd - I was looking for a past thread, but I guess I typed in the wrong thing. Thanks.

Pritt stick is like glue in a stick, and you wind it up a bit like lipstick.
And it's a solid, sticky stick.

It sticks very well and it's good for someone like me who can make a big mess with liquid glue.

Hope it turns out Ok, Mademoiselle.
It's a shame when one card gets spoilt.
