Wisdom of the Crone cards

I just bought these on a pure whim as a birthday present to myself, and I love them! The deck consists of 54 thick and shiny cards, each of which has a photo of a woman between 50 and 100 years old with a title such as Mystery, Authenticity, Joy, and the four seasons and directions on one side, and some truly wise words about each attribute on the other. The photos are gorgeous, the words inspiring, and I can't wait to use them.

Thank you so much for sharing these cards! They are beautiful! If I can get the kinks ironed out with their online order form, I will be getting a set for myself. I love how they include a diverse group of women. Do they have a booklet that comes with the deck? I noticed they also had a deck for Maidens -- might be a good stocking stuffer for my 13 year old!

Hi, Bodhran! There isn't a book or even what I would call a booklet, just a very rudimentary guide that includes brief instructions for a single card draw or a spread called The Crone's Throw. I'm hoping they might come out with a book later.

I didn't even know there was a Maiden's Deck--that sounds fantastic. I wish there had been more of that kind of thing around when I was that age.

I saw this deck a few months back and didnt get it, but I think its still available at the shop I got to. It was highly recommended from the store - keep us updated on what you think about the readings from them - they looked great!

Thanks for the link to the Maidenhood cards, bodhran! They are just as beautiful and wise as the Crone cards, and I may purchase them for a young woman I know.l

Going through Crone posts and found this one

I see they actually have 3 separate sets, one for maiden, one for mother, and one for crone. I'm actually thinking it may be beneficial to have one set of each as the people we read for will fall into one of these categories. It might be an added benefit for those we know and love just to pull a card from the applicable deck whenever they feel the urge. They all seem to be very inspirational. I'd be interested in any insight those of you that have any of these decks would be willing to share.
