Oh no!!! What happened to the "Last activity" function???? In our profile it only says the date now instead of the hour which was always very convenient when needing to be in touch with other members.....could we possibly get that back again the way it was???? :)

Mine shows the time... Do you need to clear your cache (I wasn't on when everything went bellyup - maybe that's why mine shows OK ? uncorrupted cache...)

I think this has to do with Solandia's announcement to us in that forum - Time Glitches (http://www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?p=935357#post935357).

According to the date on all of today's posts and the forum main page, today is April 11, 2006 for me. The date of my last visit when I came in this morning was March 11, 2006.

Wonder if 11 is special in some way today?

you're reading the date incorrectly.

04-11-2006 is actually November 4, 2006 according to the Euro dating system. They put the day first followed by the month. that's why you keep seeing the number 11. We Americans read in reverse of the Euro system.

It hasn't changed. Some people who were on line yesterday just have residual glitches. I bet clearing the cache would sort it :D

Gergory was referring to your browser cache files.

which browser are you using?

if it's Safari you simply click the "safari" tab and scroll down to "empty cache"

in any other Mac based browser you simply look for the "preferences" or "tools" tab, but this applies to a browser for any OS , not just Mac.

hi trismegistus,

thank you for the explanation. (I am using firefox) I will go to my preferneces and see if it helps.

in Firefox (Mac) it's "preferences" > "privacy" > "cache"

whether it helps or not in this case, it's not a bad idea to routinely clear your cache files every now n then

In firefox go to options/privacy rather than preferenmces (well, that's what MINSE says :D); use the top tab for clearing it.

Sorry to hear that, Marion; I really thought....

Nope....I've cleared all my cache files and everything else. It still says the date of last activity in the profile but not the hour..... :(

Ditto. Cleared my cache (WinXP with Firefox) and it still only shows the date...

It will show the hours until it reaches a day, then switches to days on mine, then goes to weeks.

That's how it used to be but now it only shows the date!!! I hope this gets fixed to how it was before, this is very frustrating indeed!!! :)

Have cleared my cache and even tried different browsers . . . and I'm seeing the same issue that others are reporting - that the posts show the date (and the time in terms of 24 hours - i.e 4-11-06 14:55) . . . so it's very hard to tell when a post appeared. I like the old way (before the forum troubles yesterday) a lot better!

??? WHat DID people have before, Annabelle4 ? I think that's how I have ALWAYS had it. (unless my brain has gone soggy again....) Is it a preferences thing ?

Cielo

Gregory,- the way it was before it showed how many minutes or hours ago people had posted. Likewise in the profile it would say how long ago a member had been on-line, and that way it made it easier to communicate. Now it just say what date the member was here last regardless of what time..... :)
