For Card (And/Or Flower) Freaks!

I know these are not oracle cards. I guess they are more like flash cards. But I love cards. So I'm sharing my obsession with you.

While browsing through Llewellyn's sale page (a weekly necessity), I came upon a book, Bach Flower Remedies for Beginners. Since I am now on an everything-flowers kick, I did a little research on the internet and found that there are exactly 38 Bach flower essences--perfect for a deck of cards! And then I found the cards!

I have since come to the conclusion that the Bach flower remedies are not really the thing for me. They are similar to crystal essences, in that they contain only the "vibrations" of the flowers. In other words, they are just water--There are no scientifically detectable traces of actual flowers or plant matter in the essences. I have just started researching some things in which the plants a little more tangible--herbs, incense, essential oils, etc.

BUT--The cards remain. Here is a list of Bach flower remedies cards I have been able to find on the internet. I hope that by listing them here, I can hold off the urge to collect them!!!

There is also the Bach Flower Oracle, which, though it is billed as an oracle, doesn't count with me because it doesn't have pictures of the flowers! http://learntarot.com/bfdesc.htm

Thanks for helping de-enable me!!!

Hi, cardlady!

I forgot all about this thread! About 6 months ago I got the Affirm a Flower cards and started working on a positive and negative keyword list. Oh, and I rounded the corners!

The cards are nice, big photos, but some are landscape, which is a pain when spreading out a reading . . .

The meanings are a bit of slow going, because books naturally focus on the flowers as remedies, so the meanings all seem to be very negative: so and so flower is a remedy for overwhelming fear, etc.

It's also slow going because there's a good bit of memorization--when all you have in front of you is a photo of a flower . . .

Good luck with your oracle. Let me know how it goes!
