Pip cards?

Little Hare

Hi

I'm kinda embarrassed to ask this due to the fact that i've had tarot cards for years. But erm what are pip cards?

Miren

That's when you have the normal playing card ones (not the majors) without illustrated scenes on them. e.g. the TdM http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/convos-marseille/

Note that the 5 of cups is just 5 cups. And the wand is just a wand. It's similar to plainer cartomancy (which uses a playing deck).

oh thanks so much :D *whispers* those sorts of decks have always irratated me

Yeah, I've tried cartomancy but I can only really read it as RWS. So sometimes this is handy because it's more "respectable" to play with a normal deck in public. *whispers back* But I do all the interpretations while thinking of my Gilded. There's actually a good cartomancy thing here (and they discuss it in a different forum...though it's different from pip tarot, I think) http://www.hedgewytchery.com/cartomancy.html .
