I've been seeing, and finding out about, a lot of new Tarot spreads here at A.T. This has got me to wondering... How many different spread do you use on a regular basis? Right now I've been using the Celtic Cross, a 5-card linear (past-present-future), and a couple of simple 3-card spreads. How about the rest of you?

Depends on the question...For career, I use a career spread..Love sometimes a love spread sometimes not..It all depends...

I have nearly 30 spreads in my journal, but there are only a few that I use on a regular basis.

The one I use most is a three-card spread: the Body-Mind-Spirit spread from Mary Greer's Tarot for Your Self, with all its variations. I find that these variations cover most questions.

Depending on how you look at it, I use either 3, or 300. I use the infamous 3 card spread, and many of it's permutations, my own variation of the celtic cross, and the spread Miss Cleo used(hey it really works!)

I always start with the celtic bloack and move on from there depending on many things My mood, the mood of the person i am reading, the weather, the moon phase. I guess i use about 15 different spreads. Thanks for making me think about it thought.

I only use 2- Celtic cross (even for my medicine cards!) and the three card spread. And usually the latter only as I am getting to know a new deck that I want to read with.

It really depends whether I am reading for myself or for querents. In readings for querents I usually use smaller spreads with less than 13 cards, for myself I use spreads with 20 - 30 cards. I have around 10 regular spreads for querents and about the same number for myself.

I just use three spreads consistently, although I like to play with additional ones from time to time.

I use a lot of different spreads, and have 'The Complete Book of Tarot spreads" by Evelin Burger and Johannes Fiebig to thank for this. There have been quite a few spreads I have found in there which I see as more appropriate to different reading situations than the good old tried and true Celtic Cross. Whaen I was just learning, however, I used the CC exclusively until I really felt I had a decent understanding of the cards, and how they all relate to each other in a spread. This made it a lot easier to branch out into more diverse spreads. At least it did for me.

Yup. That would be the one! Actually, I use that one almost exclusively. It is actually very insightful!
