Where I live the last crystal store closed down, so I made a trip to the next nearest crystal store (Crystal Cave) as I hadn't been there for ages as it is by the seaside. Well I like to say im nearly poor now (only kidding:D) But I was in heaven. So i thought I would share with you what i bought :)

Those are really beautiful, and thank you for sharing the wonderful images with us.
I've been wanting to explore a rock/gem store for ages, but wouldn't have a clue what to look for. Do you know your stones or did you take a book with you?

Any recommendations for a good book or quick cheat brochure or website?
Thanks.

I did I have an idea of what I wanted to get, thing was I only got two as I just fell in love with all the others. Like many people have said before, the best thing is to go for the stones which you are attracted too, I definatley found that out today :D

I have 'The Crystal Bible' by Julie Hall and 'The Essential Crystal Handbook' by Simon and Sue Lilly
The 'Crystal Bible' is a little too big to put in most of my bags, so I just make a shopping list like you would do for food.

Love Wumpkie

Thanks for sharing your new eye candy. ;) Lovely they are.

The Crystal Bible just came today. I also ordered The Encyclopedia of Crystals. That is not here yet.

Can't wait to have a chance to sit and just look through the book.

Pumpkin when you get the encyclopedia would you come back and do a review of the two Hall books? Or anyone who has them both?

The Encyclopedia appears to be much newer but it is also about 100 pages smaller so is there a lot of crystals left out or are the images smaller or what?

Melody's book Love is in the Earth is only one of the set of 4, there is a whole separate book of pictures, The Kaleidoscope that is meant to go with the original and then there are two add ons that contain newer discoveries, so all in all its very comprehensive but very expensive at around 20 a book!

The Crystal Bible is 165 x140mm and 400 pages, the new hardback Encyclopeadia is 279 x 240mm and only 288 pages, but the forecast is that it will contain updated Crystal Bible and the other new book 150 New healing Crystals information? Which is possible because the second book is very light and airy lol.

I haven't recieved my copies of the encylopedia yet but hope to soon and then we shall see. Hopefully this will become The book!
