Gilded Tarot - Four of Wands

Is it just me...or does the woman/wife/mother in the picture look defensive? Almost like she is protecting her son from the husband? Maybe she even looks angry/perturbed or annoyed? ...this just doesn't make sense considering the nature of the card.

Is it a flaw in Ciro's design or something that should be taken into consideration???

Hi Aziah, I just came across your post :) I have been looking at the 4 of Wands and I agree that the woman on the card has an odd look on her face but I don't think she is being defensive. Protective probably as all mothers are and by that I mean, small children sometimes have a tendency to run off and so she has a guiding but protective hand on his shoulder and a playful holding of his other hand, I think to keep him where she wants him to be.
This is just how I see it :)
