So far, have you read any badly written tarot books/tarot books you'd advise others to avoid, and for what reasons?

the jungian tarot and its archetypal imagery by robert wang. the book and deck describe women in a very negative light. there's a thread somewhere in the archives that goes into a lot of depth about this deck.

Well, for me, I've never liked Eden Gray's books, although some beginners do. To me,they seem deceptively simple, as if they're too dumbed down.
Another one is Eileen Connolly-her books give out weird interpertations on some cards, and has rhymes to remember that seemed to me to confuse you instead. Also, she is very dogmatic, whereas I don't always beleive you have to actually write down some question before a reading.
I like Pollack's books, and a good one just to read up on various interpertations in Louis' books. Reading a variety of authors gave me new perpectives, and it's good to see how other people view it, even if I didn't happen to agree with them....

There's one that I think is called Tarot in Ten Minutes --- sorry, can't be done. There's also one with a green cover with the word Beginners in the title that I disliked so much that I have forgotten the title.

those "Tarot reading for dummies" books. Another grab at religious commercialism.
