I just saw pictures as ATer posted that she took with her cell phone and realized, "hey I have a phone!" And it has a camera. But how do I get the picures out of the phone and into the computer? Please pardon my ignorance I am very slow with technology.

thank you if anyone knows about this

I think you need the ability to email the picture to yourself first (from your phone).

Then you download from email to computer and then computer to AT's server.

Most phones come with a program that will help you download the photo from your phone to PC.

If you don't mind me asking, what phone have you got?

If anyone cares - why not just use a camera ??? I can never understand why people want one thing to do everything.

I like my gadgets specialised ! Each knows what it does and does it well....

I can't wait to take pictures with my phone and email them to myself!

I switch over on Tuesday...

Well, if I use a camera then I'll have to take the pictures to the photo shop and get them printed, and then find somewhere to scan the prints. It would just be quick shots of reading layouts and so forth so perhaps not worth that amount of trouble.

Kilted Kat, it is a Verizon phone. There may very well be a way to email myself the pictures as there are whole areas of this phone that don't seem to have to do with telephoning. There must be a booklet around here somewhere.

I was sort of assuming a digital camera. :

Which you can get the pix off onto your computer with extreme ease, using a lead and a USB plug. :D

So can I with my Sony Ericson phone.

I use the program that came with the phone, but I think Windows might have even recognised it before I installed the program as another drive and I may have been able to download without the program. Just never tried.

Not a make I'm familiar with. Looking quickly on the web, it doesn't seem to be a phone make as much as a phone provider. So I'm not sure on getting a tool to download pictures, but perhaps you can make more sense of their website that I can. http://www.verizonwireless.com

If you have software that comes with your phone installed on your computer is easy. I have an Apple computer and my Blackberry Pearl software nor phone itself were compatible with the OS X.

But my Blackberry and computer do have Bluetooth. I transferred pictures using the Bluetooth. You pair the phone and computer like you would pair a phone with a headset. Of course, it only works if you have Bluetooth on both.

I have also emailed pictures from my phone to my computer. It's easier. Do you have the option of sending the picture to someone via email? If so, send it to a email that you have set up on your computer.

I have an iPhone now, so I just plug it into the computer with the USB cable and the pictures automatically download into iPhoto.
