| Administrator |
| The administrator runs the technical side of a forum, and sets rules and policies. Solandia is the Aeclectic Tarot Forum administrator. |
| Avatar |
| The small graphic that appears next to your name and location, on the left hand side of your posts, and can be selected through the Edit Avatar page. All members may choose one of the Forum's standard avatars, and subscribers can also upload an avatar of their own. |
| Buddy List |
| The friends or associates you'd like to keep track of while on the Forum can be added to your Buddy List. They wil be marked in the Who's Online list, and will show up on your Buddy List as online or offline. You can add people to your list here. |
| Forum (1) |
| Also known as a bulletin board, message board, web community or online community. |
| Ignore List |
| Members whose posts you would rather not see will be hidden if added to the Ignore List. You can add or remove people on your Ignore List here. |
| Invisible Mode |
| Members who prefer not to make it known when they are on the Forum can choose to set themselves to be invisible, and they will not show up in Who's Online or on buddy lists. You can set your own Invisible Mode through the Edit Options page. |
| LWB |
| An abbreviation for Little White Booklet, the small printed leaflet included in the box with many Tarot decks. |
| Moderator |
| Moderators are members who look after one or more boards and help ensure that discussions flow smoothly and posts stick to the Forum Rules. View the list of our forum moderators. |
| Poster |
| The member who originally wrote a message. The author of a post. |
| Profile |
| The information about yourself that is visible to other members and subscribers. Contains your avatar, signature, join date, last activity, and the contact information you have chosen to have available.
Your location, biography, interests, gender, favourite Tarot decks, Tarot collection, and Tarot wishlist are also shown if you have chosen to include this information. |
| Profile Picture |
| The larger graphic available that is visible in a profile. You must be a subscriber to see the graphic, or to add your own. Subscribers can add or change a profile picture through the Edit Profile Picture page. |
| RWS |
| An abbreviation for Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot, the deck created by A. E. Waite and Pamela Colman-Smith and first published by Rider. Also known as the Rider-Waite Tarot, Waite-Smith Tarot, Waite-Colman-Smith Tarot or Rider Tarot. |
| Signature |
| The tag-line that appears under your posts. You can change yours through the Edit Signature page. |
| Skin |
| The style option that defines the appearance of the Forum. There are three main types - the default Aeclectic purple skin, the Plain white and grey skin, and the No Preview skin (which looks similar to the Aeclectic skin, but does not have the thread preview tooltips).
You can change your skin at the base of the Edit Options page. |
| Subscriber |
| Forum supporters who have paid to have their account upgraded from member to subscriber. They receive a number of extra benefits including a custom user title, more Private Message storage space, can enter Tarot competitions and post polls and attachments. | TdM |
| Abbreviation for Tarot de Marseille (known in English as the Tarot of Marseilles), a historical French style of Tarot deck. |
| The Forum |
| Abbreviation for The Aeclectic Tarot Forum. |
| User CP |
| The User Control Panel where members can access and organise their private messages, watched threads, and edit their profile and other options. |
| User Title |
| A title that appears under your name, on the left hand side of your posts. Members with less than 100 posts have 'Resident', members with more than 100 posts have 'Citizen'.
Subscribers may choose their own custom user title through the Edit Profile page (in the Optional Information section). |
| Watched Threads |
| Threads about which you have selected to be notified when they have new posts added. You can receive email notifications or just keep track of them in the Watched Threads page. |
| Who's Online |
| The list of members' online activity, which is viewable by subscribers here. |
