Tarotbot's (Liberus) Android Tarot app

Wendywu

I use Tarotbot's fantastic apps for the Vacchetta and Noblet on my Kindle Fire HD and love them. I want to add the Templar as a custom deck and have the Orphalese file of the Templar images. I have read the instructions for creating a custom deck in the app which say:

"To use your own deck images in TarotBot is easy. Simply mount your android device to a computer via USB and copy your images into a folder named "tarotbot.custom". Then choose options from the bottom of the menu and switch "USE DEFAULT DECK" to "USE CUSTOM DECK" by tapping......."

I am not particularly techy . I can connect my Kindle to my netbook via USB. I cannot (despite looking in every folder I can find) see one for Tarotbot or Liberus in which I could open a folder called "tarot.bot custom" on my Kindle. So - do I simply open that folder in the main window that opens when I connect the Kindle to the netbook, and then put the images in there?

nb: please use simple words when replying, and very easy instructions...... *slinks off back to the dunce corner*

Just guessing here as I don't have a Kindle or the app, but having read way too many sets of instructions where the writer assumes you know what they're talking about, it sounds like this would be the way to do it:

1. Connect your device to your computer with a USB cable.
2. Device appears as a removable drive on the computer.
3. Double Click the device to open it.
4. Using the New folder option in your computer's file explorer window, create a folder on the device called tarotbot.custom.
5. Copy the images from your computer into that folder.
6. Disconnect the device from your computer.
7. Go to the tarotbot app and select Options from the bottom of the menu.
8. Select Use Custom Deck.
9. Save your changes.

Hopefully that will get you closer if not all the way there. :)

So my new folder shouldn't need to go in an existing folder that belongs to the program? Just gets opened in the immediately visible window when I click on "Kindle" in my file explorer.

Thank you :). I'll give it a go! I would love to have this deck on Kindle. And if this works, I'm gonna do Ironwing too. That will be all four of the decks I actually use safe in my Kindle. Yay!!

Honestly don't know if the tarotbot.custom folder should be inside the tarotbot app folder, but that would make sense as the app would (hopefully) have been designed to look for all of its files inside its own folder.

Y'see that's what I think too. Problem is, I can't find an app folder for it and I have grovelled through every folder on there I think! It's very strange.

I need to re-name all the cards I think. I'm off tomorrow and am stuck with some strange indexing thing to do for some of the afternoon, but I'll do this too and see what happens then.

Hurray - it worked!!! Thank you Rodney :)

Now I must put Ironwing onto it. Today!

Did it work after re-naming the files?

I want to try this (but first I need to get a cable to connect my tablet to my PC!)

I used Stormy's Orphalese file without re-naming them. They were 01.jpg through to 79.jpg - don't have The Fool as 0 in the numbering. I think the app wouldn't like a null value.

This afternoon - Ironwing :)

That's great! :)

I need to look those instructions up again to see what the card dimensions should be.

Also need a scanner... after payday!
