I really like the 8 of Swords, it is an image that will stay in my mind. Very creative!

I love this, thank you so much for posting!
There's so many decks out there I never see unless
I find them here. You guys are great for posting!

Just received the deck in today's post and this is one I really like! I'm impressed by how well the differing artistic styles work together as a whole. Anyone who enjoys artsy tarots shouldn't let this one pass them by. The LWB also gives each artist a chance to say a few words about the image he or she created - something that most collaborative decks totally ignore. Two big thumbs up on this one!

Oh I AM glad you like it. I was gobsmacked. I thought it would be just another collaborative (nice but - well, some of them don't hang together that well) - but this one really does - and also my SO went to the exhibit and was worried (he refused to open the deck till it got to me) that some of the 3D stuff would lose out in card form - and he was impressed that it didn't much at all.

The co-ordinator knows her tarot stuff - that probably helped.

These are lovely cards, great survey of an artistic community and a great tarot.

totally worth it

have had this for three weeks and just love it. such high quality production too; great cardstock, lovely large images. I assumed i would get it and find it a coffee-table kind of thing, but it reads SO WELL> i 'm just so impressed with the collaborative souls who put this together (and the people here on aeclectic who wrote about it in the first place; also, the lwb is fabulous. i actually find the definitions v. moving because some of the artists it sounds like are not necessarily widely versed in tarot, yet they worked w/ the one or two cards they contributed and their work really seems to inhabit the archetype of the card. i dont know if they sold out of these entirely yet; definitely makes my top five decks.

They WILL be available in the Hermit's Lamp in Toronto. May already be.

Wow - what a great name for a shop!

And I presume you've seen the copy you own, now? Thoughts?

This is a wonderful deck!

Shelly was at TarotCon in Dallas last month, and I immediately bought the deck after seeing the cards at breakfast. Mary Greer was doing a workshop on doing interactive readings, and I wanted a deck that I was not at all familiar with. It reads beautifully, and the various art styles work quite well together.

Highly recommended!
