Hi everybody^^

I need to buy a new tarot deck, cause the one I used to use wasn't mine-- my cousin lent it to me.
I'm thinking about the Enchanted Tarot, but it's pretty expensive where i live so I've to think very well.

What do you think about the Enchanted Tarot? Although i like the artwork, i have to know if it is a good tarot deck. Do you recommend it?

Thanks very much^^

Yuko,

I think Tarot Decks are personal - there is no good or bad. It's what appeals to you.

I looked on my other favorite site "learntarot.com" and they have the deck and will ship it. Check it out..like this site, they have all types of tarot decks.

Good hunting

Hi, Yuko --

Have you checked out the Zerner/Farber Tarot deck? It's the same images as the Enchanted deck, but without the elaborate borders, so the cards are smaller. It comes as a deck/book set called "Instant Tarot Reader," or you can buy the deck by itself, which would be the cheapest option (about 15 U.S. dollars).

Yuko,
I have the Enchanted Tarot and I must say that it is one of the most difficult decks to shuffle! The card stock is very stiff and the cards themselves are long and narrow. My hands are fairly small and I have difficulty reaching end to end to shuffle this deck in the poker style shuffling method (riffle). The cards are too narrow to riffle side to side which is something I do with larger cards. The card stock is also a bit dry. (I don’t know if this is a good term but I can’t think of anything else to call it but "dry".) Trying to shuffle this deck with the lacing method doesn’t work well for me because the cards seem to want to stay together. They aren’t sticky, they are, well. . . dry. Hard to explain. Now, for the good side. I love the images! A lot of work went into making this deck. The book that comes with the set is very good at explaining the symbolism. The book also has an "enchantment" for each card. These can be used as tarot spells, meditation or spiritual work. I may someday buy the Zerner/Farber deck so I can enjoy these images on a deck that is easier to shuffle but I'm glad I have the Enchanted Tarot book. This is a good deck for me to have on hand when great aunt Edna comes for a visit.

Hi Raeanne.
I knew that these card were difficult to shuffle but I couldn't even imagine that it was so hard^^ Do you know a good way to shuffle the cards?
I do like the artwork too, for me it's one of the most beautiful^^
Anyway, thanks for telling me more about the Enchanted Tarot! It really helped me^^

Yuko: I too have the enchanted tarot. I like them very much - they work well for me. As for shuffling them, they are a bit awkward but not too much so - I guess my fingers are longer. One deck that is awefully hard to shuffle, for me, is the voyager tarot: big, bulky, and sticky.

I Love the Enchanted tarot. I find it very beautiful , unique, and accurate. Easy to read. I do not know if z/f comes with the same book, but the hardback in the enchanted tarot set is excellent. One of my favorite decks.

Dear Yuko,
Where do you live. I line in the United Kingdom, but often buy tarots from the USA. The deck prices there tend to be cheaper, but international shipping can be expensive. One firm I have ordered from is Powell's Bookshop, which offers surface shipping at a good rate. You pay $3 per order, then $2 extra for each item. So it would cost $5 to post one tarot, and $7 to post 2 decks.
All the best

Yuko,
Let us know when you get your deck. I'm anxious to hear your opinion of it. I hope you get the book too! The "enchantments" are wonderful!
