I was told i should post my questions here....
I'm a Newbie, and I'm still at the VERY beginning stages of getting to know my deck. I was wondering if anyone has this deck and would like to share their feelings on it... i still need the books to further understand it, the lwb is good, but i would love to further understand my deck, and inturn understand how it interperets me...
If anyone could give me some insights and hints, i would love to hear them.

Thanx again, for making me feel so welcome into your community!

Hello Ophelia!

My strongest suggestion for getting to know a deck is acquiring Mary K. Greer's Tarot for Your Self. It has many excercises for connecting to each card, and it even uses the Motherpeace deck as an example.

A deck's own book is always useful too, but Greer's suggestions are based on personal connections, which I think is always the strongest way to relate to anything. I look at a new deck as a journey into a new land, with much fun exploring to do!

Here's her website: http://www.nccn.net/~tarot/

Take care,
- lalaurie.

Welcome, Ophelia! I Love the motherpeace deck! It was one of my first decks , and definitely my favorite. Now I have newer decks that occupy most of my attention, and I haven't used the motherpeace in a long time. But I probubly ought to , as it is still one of my favorites. I recommend the book "Motherpeace: A way to the goddess through myth, art, and tarot". I still use the grounding and centering exercise in chapter 33 "Reading the cards" . I also use the round spread (it's a lot like the celtic cross) in the back of the book. I know a lot of people say they find this deck offensive. Maybe because of the very feminist slant of the book. I don't see this As much in the cards themselves. Well , what can I say? I Love this deck!

Thanks Purple lady, Is the book good? I was gonna get it, but it seems like everytime i try to get it, my cash flow slows, or needs to be directed at different things that are more of a necessity, i know of 3 books about the deck and that should go with it, i just havent gotten around to getting them yet...
I will look into it, that round spread sounds neat, Thanx again.

Merry meet!!
Ophelia
