Has anyone seen this deck? It's so weird! It's like the Rider Waite deck in an alternate universe.
From what I understand Roberto Angelis took the notes given to Smith and recreated the deck. I swear it's the Rider Waite for an alternate universe! It's cool though. It's definitely been added to my wish list.
You can read a reveiw and see samples at: http://www.wicce.com/deangelis.html

Okay, Faunabay, I think we're on a wavelength here! :D I got you thinking about Celtic decks, and now you've got me thinking about this deck! ;) It looks great...I wish I could see more pictures, though. I know it's practically sacriledge, but I don't own Rider-Waite deck. (I have to admit that I can be rather contrary that way sometimes...I don't like to have the same versions of things that everyone else has. Maybe it comes from being the youngest child of eight and getting everyone's hand-me-downs! :D ) Anyway, an "alternate universe" kind of RW deck sounds like just the thing.
Thanks for the great info!
Peace,
Melvis

Melvis, want to try for a third type of deck? :D
I've done some more research - found another reveiw that has more pictures. Try this out:

I've found out it's a pretty new deck from Lo Scarabeo (within the last year). Now that I've seen more pictures to me it's kind of a cross between Rider Waite and a comic book. The colors are great! And with some of the cards you kind of have to do a double take. Like the 5 of cups is VERY similiar to the RW except the hood of the cape is down and you see the head of the person.
And I've already gone and done it. I've ordered it. :) I'll let you know what I think when it arrives.
