Cosmic Tribe Tarot

I was rather extravagant with my hard-earned wages yesterday, and bought three new tarot decks to add to my collection. The first was the Cosmic tribe Tarot. This is an absolutely stunning deck. I'm not kidding! It is vibrant, colourful, each card seems to fit nicely with the others... It's really deep and symbolic. However, there is one point that means I can't read with it for many other people, such as youngsters... Nobody in this deck (All real people, as this is a photo deck) is clothed. They are all shapes and sizes ;p and all naked! This is kinda offputting on the Hanged Man.... ;p But I would strongly suggest this deck for any collector out there. Its absolutely stunning. Kiama

I've been looking at this deck. Not sure I would be able to read with it - too busy looking at the naked people LOL I don't have a problem with "the unclothed" :) but to have them on every single card?? I'll be curious to see how they work as you begin to use them. Keep us updated please.

Hey all, I have been reading with this deck for over two years now and it is my favourite deck, for sure. When you get used to the nudity it is really no big deal and as Stevee Postman (the illustrator of the deck) says, we are seeing the people for who they really are - except for "the moon" who is clothed because she has something to hide. I love the blended spirituality and contemporary look of the cards - they really show their meanings. Get over the nudity and let the cards speak to you. A fantastic deck! K.

Well, I'm over all the nakedness now, and I'm finding it actually quite easy with naked people on there. It just seems 'right' to me now. And the cards are speaking to me so well it's unbelievable... There is a strange beauty in each card that I never thought I would find (To the extent I'm talking about) in any other photographic deck.... It's colourful, but at the same time is not too violent with the colour, so you can concentrate on it easily, and the symbolism is on my level of thinking (Pagan, etc etc...) Basically, I 'get' this deck, and I can see us becoming great friends. Kiama

I too have recently aquired this deck. It was never even on my wish list 'til I happened upon the author's web site ,where every card is pictured. But I hadn't noticed all the Pierced body parts until I actually saw the deck in person! It is a very beautiful, different , and psychadelic deck though. There is SO much to look at on each and every card. Some cards I particularly like are the High Priestess ( maybe the coolest H.P. I have ever seen!) , the knight of cups , the hierophant. The order of the court cards are : Queen Knight Princess Prince Have not done a full reading yet , but have pulled one card at a time.

I just bought the Cosmic Tribe Tarot, and its not for me. I know that most people love this deck, but there are too many naked men in it for my tastes. If anyone wants it, I'm open to trades in the USA. I like the Gendron, the Haindl, the Healing Tarot, Morgan-Greer and the New Palladini. Tarot of the Old Path.is pretty cool too. If you have something else you think is interesting, lemme know. I also posted on the trades board, but I thought that Cosmic afficionados might see it here too. Kiama, the Tribe was my second deck...I just got it last month..my other deck is Osho..a little different, LOL but the Tribe is AWESOME...it just has a way of speaking out, and is very freindly! I went to the website from the link here, and like you guys it just said, You Are Mine! I find the nakedness of the people to be "spiritual" (yeah, and guys buy playboy only for the articles, rotfl) no really! in the sense that they are who they are, cannot be otherwise and are perfectly comfortable with that. Just to let you know how weird I am, my favorite card is Knight of Wands, who "pops" up very frequently in my readings. I also really like the Queen of Disks. There just seems to be such a vibrant energy to this deck, although I can see that it's not a deck for everyone ;) ttfn!

I recently purchased this deck because I've been hearing so many good things about it on the forums. I'm loving it more every time I use it! I reallly appreciate all the levels of meaning that each card seems to have. I have to admit, though, the nudity is a rather...distracting. But then I thought, well, if you could put clothes on them, what would they wear? And I realized that anything I could picture them wearing would look ridiculous. They really are MEANT to be unclothed! So far I've only done readings for myself. I showed them to a friend of mine and she just couldn't stop laughing...kind of ruined the mood for a reading! :D Peace, Melvis

This deck has been the subject of other posts in the past. It seems one either loves it or doesn't care for it at all, which is not unusual concerning decks in general. Far better to feel a response than none at all :D I was drawn to the vibrancy of the deck as a whole; The Hermit & The Star were what hooked me. The people do not come across so much as "unclothed"--some do wear "accessories"--as much as they appear to be actively expressing the energy of their element & the energy of the deck. The lack of conventional garments didn't hit me until I did a reading for someone who couldn't stop remarking on the "all these nekkid people". After she got over her shock, she decided it is a beautiful deck & tried to read along with me--it was interesting what she was able to come up with considering Tarot does not interest her but getting a reading does :D

I broke down and traded for this deck a while back. Got it a couple of days ago and did my first reading with it last night. All I can say is WOW! For those of you who didn't see it, I posted a reading I had done a while back and couldn't understand. Everyone was very helpful with getting me to see what it was trying to tell me. But the reading I did last night with the Cosmic Tribe just shouted it out to me. It was very illuminating and helpful. The deck told me we would be great friends and they would help me contact and work more with my inner earth-based spirituality and magic potential. And I'm already over the naked people!! :)

I've got so many cards I like in this deck. I really like the Emergence card also. That's the one that caught my eye first. But I like the Star, Hermit, and I really like the Princess of Wands too. And the Princess of Cups has got such a great smile. And the Chariot - sitting on a giant mushroom!! :) OK like I said I like alot of these cards!!! LOL But the one that has surprised me is the Hierophant. I usually don't like that card much in other decks. But I love this one. I just love the way Postman did it. It's kind of weird with all those eyes, but I like it. Jewel. you're just going to have to break down and get it. LOL

I just couldn't set quietly by and listen to you guys talking about this deck without checking it out for myself. After looking over the website I decided I had to have this deck. I just received it on Wed. of this week and I have already fell so deeply in love with it I could never have imagined. I learned to read cards with the Universal Waite deck so as you can imagine I have my work cut out for me (or at least it feels like it), these cards are so much different than those! I almost feel like I am learning to read all over again. After reading this post I soon realized that I wasn't the only one starting down this journey. Hey, I just thought of something, maybe we could form some kind of study group together for this deck (I am assuming that I am not the only one that feels like they have some work ahead of them, work that will be well worth it and probably a little more pleasurable with a few friends around). While this deck doesnt fit my reading style, i do love its art a lot. I dont own it, I think theres a about 20 decks on my want list way before it and Im so poor I probably wont even get those for 10 years lol. But I did go look at the site again and you guys are so right about the Chariot guy, he is hot, but I wanted to die looking at Strength, boy has he got a body, he's my personality card for that deck (11, sometimes im a justice, sometimes strength, confusing hehe), he could be my Strength anyday :)

WOW!!! that is all I have to say!!! I received my deck yesterday and I LOVE IT!!! It just makes me laugh and smile and giggle *LOL*. I even got bonus cards in my pack ~giggles~ ... for some strange reason there was an additional ace of swords and an additional copy of m/m lovers card ... so I have 5 aces and 5 lovers ~giggles~ ... That adds up to 10 ... wonder if that could have any special meaning ~giggles~. No honestly, I cannot wait to start working with this deck. I think I am actually going to inter-sperce it with the work I am doing in the Mary Greer book just to start getting a feel for it. I look forward to the study group. Love & Light,

OK I can now officially say I LOVE this deck! Last night I did my first reading with it (an indepth 3 card spread from Tarot for Yourself workbook) and by time I was finished analyzing what I saw, the colors, etc. I was pretty much on the money with what the author had to say. I might have had a slant to it, but the meanings of the cards were self-evindent. This deck may well end up being my primary reading deck as I mainly read for myself anyway. Absolutly fabulous! This group has not started and I am not quite sure when it will. I am hoping we can wait until the study groups forum is created and that will be contingent on Solandia's time and availability to set the forum up for us.
