I've ordered the "Healing with the Fairies Oracle" so they can play with my healing angel cards. I think half the fun for me, in collecting and working with tarot/non-tarot, is the anticipation of receiving!!!!! Every day I skip to my mailbox, feel a little disappointed when it isn't there, and then skip back knowing I get to anticipate some more tomorrow!!! Yipee!!! :D

I've had a nervous week. The second hand book shop I use was waiting for a Thoth deck to come in and the shop owner said he would keep it for me - I've only seen this deck once opened at a large bookshop and I didn't like it but wanted to take a closer look at it.
Well the deck came in a few days ago and I went down to have a look - I was pleasantly surprised, the deck doesn't look like its been used, it didn't feel used and was in excellent condition even though its over 10 years old. It was also the bigger US Games version and although it has the green tinge to it - the colours of the cards really appealed to me - Infact as soon as I touched the deck I knew I would buy it - Now whether I'll be able to read with it - well thats another question lol :)

I´ve spend the entire november waiting for my shapshifter, Mary Greer´s Tarot for Yourself and a book on symbolism in tarot. They finally arrived yesterday - and I´m very VERY pleased with what I got.
I´m still waiting for Mary´s Constellations - and yes I´m defently all worked up, anticipating this book I´m waiting for to be one of my all time faves !! :)

Deso, I see you use the Healing with the Angels Oracle cards. I have bought the deck and know not what to do with them?! I take them out and just drool over the magnificent artwork (I must say the colors and everything just keep your eyes glued to the cards), might you know any online sources which might be able to help me understand how to use these cards?

Sorry, maxim, I really don't know of any. For myself, I like to use a three card or a five card spread - the card positions vary according to my mood/needs. I seldom like to use the booklets that accompany cards, but in this case, I enjoy reviewing the book (after I've put in my own interpretation). I use these cards when I need to do a quick reading since they have a one-word theme on each card. For more in-depth readings, I go back to the CC with a tarot deck.
Anyway, explore, let your spirit guide you on how to use the cards, and know you can't go wrong! :) Hope this helps!

I just got my new Spiral set in the mail TODAY!!! I was so excited. I had to work today but ran home when I had a break to check the mail. LOL And it was there!!!! :P
The spiral tarot is a deck I've been looking at since I began with the tarot about a year ago. I'd look at it and put it back - not the right time. Well I've picked it up and put it back for a year but NOW was the right time. I really love it!! (thanks Lore)
But -- I've also got two more coming that I traded Taz for -- the alchemical and cosmic tribe decks. wwwwoooohhhhoooo I can't wait!!
I'm with you I love the anticipation ALMOST (not quite :) ) as much as receiving the decks.
Oh and deso -- I LOVE the Book of Doors. It's definitely not your typical tarot type deck, but it really resonates with me. So if you're still drawn to it I say go for it. It's wonderful -- very deep issues are addressed - not an "everyday" deck. It gets right to the heart of you and the question.
The funny thing is with my regular tarot decks I want to do readings alot. With the Book of Doors one reading will hold me for quite a while - I think since it doesn't deal with everyday issues but with the grand scheme of things. My brain takes a while to take it all in and process the information.
So here's another one you can order and anticipate it's arrival. Yeah!! :*

Well, I originally planned only purchasing 2 decks for myself, but luckily my friend told me there was a world outside Amazon.com and I could probably find decks for cheaper elsewhere, so I found a site and got deck happy.
I ordered:
Tarot Stuff -
The Renaissance Tarot by Brian Williams...I've been waiting an eternity to get this deck!
The Quick and Easy Tarot - I'm a Rider Waite fan so obviously this one I had to get!
The Vampire Tarot - This deck is probably one that fits my taste. I like artwork that is dark and gloomy, but don't get me wrong, I'm full of sunshine!
Non-Tarot Stuff-
Gypsy Witch Fortune Telling Cards: I've heard so much about them I had to get them!
It's All In The Cards - A book which supposidly tells you how to do ACCURATE readings with Playing cards.
So that's what I'm anticipating! The site is known for delivering next day, I hope I'm one of those orders! :)

I am still waiting for my Robin Wood deck and the Tarot Calender 2002 which I ordered at German amazon (an early yule gift for myself).
I got the Witches' Calender and I was so fascinated by it that I also decided to order the tarot calender.
I cannot await to get my paws on it!
