Okay... I'm becoming a tarot junkie...
Has anyone worked with Matt Myers' Art Noveau deck? Any thoughts on it?
Thanks,
Kelly

I know there are a couple of people here at the forum that have worked with and do like the deck. Each suit tells the story of a couple. The colors are bright, and is attractive looking. All of the characters are beautiful and this deck has been acused of being a "Ken and Barbie" deck. Personally of the Art Noveau style decks I prefer Castelli's Tarot Art Noveau over the Myers deck but that is simply my preference.
You might want to check out some reviews on the deck, there is one here on Aeclectic and you can also try www.wicce.com for a second review.

myers' art noveau is one of my favorite. it's one of those i don't worry too much about whether my querent will be turned off or frightened by the cards. i love the colors. i like the castelli's too but haven't purchased it yet. (so many decks so little money ;D ) imho, it does deserve the ken and barbie tarot award. the ppl really do look like ken and barbie to me! the focus of the deck is relationships and i use it when i want to focus on relationships--particularly romantic ones. some have suggested that robin wood is k & b but myers is more so imo. this is a beautiful well done deck for lighter moments. i have a hard time thinking about life or death questions when i read w/ it but then that's me. :)

Truthsayer,
What does "imo" mean?
I also have the Art Nouveau deck and mainly uses it for relationship readings.
The art is simply fabulous!!!!!

I believe IMO is "in my opinion." IMHO: "in my humble/honest opinion."
The thing that really attracts me to the Art Noveau Tarot is the storylines of the Minor Arcana -- they seem like a great way to memorize the cards. And, of course, the gorgeous art. :)
Thanks, everyone!

I think the Major Arcana is a bit different from the Minor Arcana. Actually not bit, they differentiate quite much.
The Major Arcana is traditional painting type of art while the Minor Arcana has a stained Glass effect.
Which cards do you like most?
The Tower card is so catchy!

Just in case some searches don't work:
the spelling is Art Nouveau, and here is the Aeclectic link
