The deck arrived late yesterday afternoon. I haven't had a chance to do more than look at the cards. I generally like what I see. This is the first deck I've had that changes the places of Strength and Justice.
I think I'm going to enjoy studying the book that came with the deck.

Hi , Arizonagirl!
Do keep us posted - I'm eyeing this one up at the moment and am really tempted so I'd be interested to see how you get on.

I got this deck/book set a few months back and it is beautiful. I have not had a chance to work with it yet as I am in the middle of what seems like 747 Tarot projects, cannot put down the Faery Oracle or the Cosmic Tribe at the moment (huge battle for time going on between these two ;) ), plus normal life, but from the little time I have dedicated to the deck it appears to me that it will be great. There are a couple cards that have made me wonder what Buckland was actully thinking (can't remember them off hand), but overall it seemed pretty RW based. I guess that when I can finally make some time and work with the deck and read the book and learn more of the Romani's the "strange" cards as I call them will be clarified.
Anyone out there using this deck as their primary deck? or tried?
Love & Light,

At last I've finished reading the book that came with the deck and have made lots of notes. Besides switching Strength and Justice, he also switches the 3 and 8 of Bolers (Pentacles).
The meanings of several of the cards differ from the RW tradition. Most notably: 4 and 7 of Bolers (Pentacles); 3, 5, 8, 9 of Koshes (Wands); 6, 7, 8, 9 of Chivs (Swords). The Koros (Cups) suit is pretty much RW, however. In the Majors, the Blacksmith doesn't seem to have anything to do with the meaning of the Hierophant;
The pictures are very intuitive, however, and rather than provide key words, he asks questions about what the pictures mean to you.

The deck is lovely. I would use it routinely, but I get thrown by the wheels and kouros. It distracts me. I prefer the pentacles or coins, and cups or chalices. Still, I have used it for readings, and they were successful readings.

I have this deck and think it is very beautiful and I couldnt wait to own it.
I have found that it isnt the easiest of decks to read but saying that the imagery is lovely and can be interpreted intuitively.
I like the blacksmith, as the book explains without the skills of the blacksmith the horses that the people rely on would not be able to work. He was looked up to and a necessary part of life. (the conventional part of an unconventional lifestyle - I think this is almost the opposite of the normal meaning of the card)
Lovely deck but my favourites keep changing as I acquire yet another to my collection.
WHY do I do this!!

Actually I 'm thinking of whether to get this set or the Legend Arthurian one.
Can anyone give me some advice?
Like is the book accompanying Buckland Romani providing sufficient information?

I really am curious about this deck!
I hope mistress luck DOES kiss me this time, and allows me to win it! :)
As far as I have experienced through the Net, the pictures are so appealing!
Wish me Good Luck!

I bought this deck last summer and I really liked it. I absolutely love the pictures. I like my decks dramatic and this one really took the cake for me. Also it tended to work pretty well with me in readings. Some of the pictures tend to be a bit different that what the traditional meanings of the cards are...but that was pretty much my only beef with this deck. I really love it, but unfortunately I don't use it that much. I still stick to my old Zerner-Farber. You know how you find other decks you like...but well, you would just rather stick to what you got...lol
anyways, I really reccomend this deck for anyone who is looking for something new.

The book is very thorough and explains the imagery used and the gypsy terms describing things, but the good thing about the book is that it encourages you to make your own interpretation by asking you questions about the card. It leaves a little to your own imagination.
I recommend this deck for its beauty and originality. I do use others on a more regular basis but if it speaks to you, as it did to me the go for it.
