I was wondering if anyone here has this deck and can answer a question for me? Can you tell me the measurements of this deck? I'm looking for a small deck...something I can carry with me & not too big & clumsy for my hands. I really love the artwork of the cards & was thinking of ordering it. Also, if you have this deck, what do you think of it? :)

thanks!

First of all it's out of print so you couldn't order one. You'd have to find one used and that's pretty tough.
And it wouldn't be small enough to carry with you. The cards are "normal" sized for tarot decks, but they have 2 extra suits. So the deck ends up being really thick and hard to shuffle.
After saying all that though, if you find one - buy it!!! It's a great deck. The artwork is wonderful and the feeling of the deck is very warm and friendly.
I hunted for around 3 or 4 months until I found one. Now that I have it I'm sure glad I went to all the trouble. I wouldn't give it up for anything. :)

Thanks for the info! I guess it's going to be a long search for me. I'm hoping that someone might have one left over in the back of their inventory! :D Ok, at the risk of sounding stupid, what is "normal" size? I don't suppose you could measure your cards for me? Please? Pretty please?? :)

Not a problem. Of course I have all my decks within easy reach!! LOL

Actually they're kind of short and squatty. 4 1/4" x 3 1/2" And the deck thickness is almost 1 1/2 inches deep.

If I remember right, with the 2 extra suits this deck has 106 cards!!!! :O

Heh! Thank you so much! If I find a deck, I probably will get it...even just to look at the pictures. The store is checking their old inventory for me & see if they may still have one left. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! If it's in the cards, it'll happen. :)

because at last i have found a copy of my own! YAH! i couldn't remember if i was particularly looking for it but i did remember it's out of print. i have this thing for OOP decks. the cards want to stick together some but the art work is lovely. i particularly like the fool card. it shows the fool leaping out into nothing with her trusting cat beside her. i haven't studied all the different suits yet but it looks interesting and challenging. i may take out the 2 extra suits and see i can still read with the deck. the deck is based on shamanic traditions. the courts are broken down into grandmother, grandfather, woman, and man. for me that makes them easier to read.

anyone else have this lovely deck?

I'm intrigued by this deck... Do you have any pictures of the cards? And what are the 2 extra suits? Is this the deck that is black and white?

this one is in color and drawn. half of the card face is taken up by the name. the images aren't very big. i'll have to get back to you on the name of the suites b/c all the names have been changed. i just know there are 2 extra ones. i haven't figured out the pentacles from the cups yet! i'll try to scan a few for you later. it might be a good one to do a review of here since i don't think it's in the card library. the deck cards are thick and squarish and make a tall stack. i haven't decided how i'm going to shuffle them yet but i kind of think laying them on a surface and dividing into separate piles then merge the stacks will be the only way besides throwing them up in the air and picking them up at random. i have to hold them with both hands.

tarot passages and wicce both have reviews on this deck I think.

The added suits are feathers and pipes - though I can't remember what exactly they represent. But one of them (feathers I think) is more of a spirit suit.

I really, really like the deck (have had it for a couple of years now) but am not using it at all because with the extra suits it's very hard to shuffle and handle!!

It doesn't have the normal king, queen, knight and page but uses grandmother, grandfather, woman and man instead!!

truthsayer - check out the Woman of Wands!! I just love her!! :)
