Hi
I just bought a set of used tarot decks and was suprised to find a really old Rider Waite deck. I have found out through a site that it is the deLaurence Tarot Deck - 1916-1918 and is a "bootleg" version of the Rider Waite. It is in great shape except 4 cards are missing. i was wondering if anyone else has this deck? Is it rare? Were there alot made?I am so curious about this deck any help would be appreciated. I am hoping to find another complete one but am going to create the missing cards on my computer and get some good card stock and print them out so that the deck is complete. :)
this is a really charming version of the Rider Waite deck.
Thanks
Samantha

If my search pointed me to the correct deck, it's just another version of the RW, not a bootleg.. it's basically another colouration of the deck (and quite an ugly one at that, see pictures below). It's similar to the Universal Waite, Albano Waite, etc. -- just an older recolouration.

Is this what your deck looks like?

Thanks for the pics but that is not my deck :) The pictures you have is for the 1980 version NOT the 1916-1918 version. If anyone knows any info on the old 1916-1918 version I would love any help as to how many were made, are they rare, how much would I look to spend for a complete one :) etc... here is a link that shows my deck as well as some of th eother versions of Rider Waite printings.

Interesting site, I never realised that there were so many different coloured versions of the Rider Waite :)
