i just got my new "robin wood " tarot deck. the picturs are really kewl.I have not done a reading with them yet but me mum was tellen me what they mean like what wands and penticals mean but i never read the books, me mum dose not what me to cuz it would be better if i let the card speek not the book. and i like it better this way!! :) : X xoxox fairy

Congratulations!! I really like my Robin Wood deck. Since I'm primarlily interested in art and symbolism, I got Robin Wood's book on the deck. There is a lot of symbols packed into each card. Have fun with the exploration and keep us posted. :)

Ah, you've got an excellent deck there, Fairyface! Wonderful choice! I've been using the Robn Wood deck for about a year and a half now, but I didn't get the book until about 6 months ago. I think its a good idea that you work out what they mean for yourself first, without the book, then later read it, and see if you agree with it! The Robin Wood is the deck I use for queries about my own issues, and is probably the easiest to read of all my decks for me. I've had it for several years and have never purchased the book, nor do I plan to. Robin Wood wrote the booklet that comes with it, and did a fine job; plus I think the deck is so vivid that adding someone else's interpretations to my understanding of it would only clutter my mind when I read it. I feel that owning this deck negates any need for owning the Universal Waite or the Rider Waite. If you need a "basic" deck, this will likely be perfect. My only complaint is that everyone in it is white - but that doesn't really detract from how good it is.
