Like I posted in Solandia's thread about the new reveiws, I'm putting this on my wishlist, but it won't stay there long! I know I'll have to buy it soon.

I love it too. It's only 21 Euros, but I don't know what the postage is from Switzerland to the UK.
I can't find it anywhere else on the net - I wonder how Solandia heard about it?
If you get it, let us know what the minors are like :)
All the best,
FH

The Roots of Asia Tarot is a new one from AGM Muller. At this stage I think it is only available from their website.

I contacted AGMüller and they told me that until this autumn the Roots of Asia are only available at their e-shop.
I could not resist and ordered it but I was a bit shocked that they charge 11 € for posting and handeling from Switzerland to Germany!!!

Hi Diana,
Oh, that would be cool!!!! I'll certainly come back to this offer as there is still one or more at AGM which I want to add to my collection. If there's sth from Germany you would wish to have, just let me know.

I tried to email you, but your profile said you didn't want emails from the forum???
I wanted to see if you could check about the deck for me? I want to order the Roots of Asia and the Arcus Arcanum from AGMuller and shipping for both would be almost $15!!!!
I don't see how it could be much less for you though, because you'd have to have it shipped to you then forwarded on to me, but I thought I'd check. OK??

i wonder if someone else in sweden would want it so we could share the postage?

I'll jump in here on the order for the Roots of Asia, maybe between the 3 of us we can make it work. Is this feasible?

Hello out there!
I just got back to the NY and the first thing I did was check out the occult stores in the Village. I was ssoooooooooo impatient. I found my hearts desire in a pratically invisible store called Morgana's Chamber. There I found the Roots of Asia Tarot I'd been dreaming of. It was the first deck on my wishlist, and in person, had more charisma even than the Spiral Tarot which I had expected myself to buy!
I find this Tarot so compelling. It pulls me deep deep into the images, like familiar dreams I want to travel into. I read on this site, many find it a meditation, not reading deck. I don't particularly read yet anyway, as I am still learing the traditions, but love contemplating the cards.

I`ve just been reading through this thread and it seems that this deck is quite hard to get hold of. For those in the UK who want this deck I just saw it at the Weekend in Waterstones bookshop in Derby. They have an on-line store so maybe it is available.
Happy shopping

After my local California shop ordered from U.S. Games, it only took eight months for us to obtain the Leah Samuls Wisdom in the Cards book to the Hudes deck and Roots of Asia Tarot. Distribution in bulk, availability from publishers, etc....
This deck and another goes with me to snow country over the holidays. In the little white book, Julia Turk is one of the people thanked for her inspiration...but as I looked at Navigators of the Mystic Sea and Roots of Asia, I didn't see Navigators imagery.
I see in the art style that Roots of Asia has dreamlike takes on the Rider Waite ordering of majors and the courts/minors have animals and elements that seem in keeping with more modern standard assignments (Cups, water, that sort of thing). The art style might be liked to Greenwood in terms of pastel highlights on deep, dark backgrounds (some of Greenwood minors have this).
If you were to ask what type of Buddhist imagery, I believe the artist is Thai in background...to me, I see Tibetian and Balinese flourishes, as if beautiful ornamented scrolls in updated style. I would say more folk art rather than court cultures of Japanese or Chinese. For instance, the elephants, griffon-like birds and deer in Roots of Asia makes one think of tropical Asian forests, bright paintings on wood, if that makes sense.
Hope others received their orders and liked the deck. The Star and Moon are especially lovely to me.

Since I last wrote that I just bought the Roots of Asia deck, the collection god has been merciless with me, and has forced me to buy many other decks, such that I hardly ever look at this deck, I was so happy to find. Oh dear, what a traitor I feel like.
Does any one read with this deck??
I particularly loved the pictures of going between two worlds.

I'll try to read with this deck by doing TAROT ISOLATION---only a few decks are going with me and I'll not be near tarot shops for at least....two weeks....oh, I'm taking a few others just in case I go into withdrawal.
Best,
Mari H.

i just got this deck today. actually i am so spoiled. already this x-mas (ok, so i open all decks before the big day) i have been given three decks.
*victoria regina
*glastonbury (thanks jenny)
*roots of asia
and meditative is the word that comes to mind when i look at roots of asia. how all human figures look calm and sort of comfortable inside their own skin.
i am really looking forward to use this on smaller contemplative readings for myself.
(altough right now i am definatly in a more vibrant and colourful mood and nuts about the glastonbury)
this one will be perfect for dreamwork too, at least my particular brand of dreamwork.
i don't see it as a deck for general readings though.
above all it is a beautiful deck!
a pleasure to handle and look at.
