I got this deck at a discount bookstore, and it appears to be rather rare; at any rate, I have found very little info about it online. It's a reproduction of a deck first published in 1725, and there are all of these extra cards that I don't understand- and the instructional booklet is in Italian! It includes the signs of the Zodiac, the elements, the virtues... I am really attracted to this deck, and I want to use it, but there doesn't seem to be any instructional info out there! (I should add that I am new to tarot and the internet...) Any advice? -Grub

This would be kind of expensive, but there is a new version of the Minchiate deck by Brian Williams, it's called The Minchiate Tarot. It's a deck and book set. The book is excellent and provides anything you would want to know on how to read with a minchiate deck, either the one that comes with the set or any minchiate deck. But then you'd have to pay $35.00 (or more, I suppose, if you're not in the U.S.) for the set. You might also try searching in a search engine like Google for "minchiate" and see if anyone has a website which could provide more info.

I have the reproduction of that deck. Are you talking about the elements and zodiac cards? It is a great deck! What a treat to have it in Italian!
