I was doing the Tarot Garden competition, and suddenly stumbled across my FIRST EVER deck! Which was FREE with a 1997 edition of Sugar magazine! Come and see what initiated me to Tarot!
I'm so happy I found it, cuz I lost it somehow.... It just disappeared one day... But its brought back so many memories now that I've seen it again!

ROFL! Thanks Rhiannon!
It wasn't the best deck to start with (26 cards!!! ) but it intrigued me, and got me wanting more....

I do like the images. :)
26 cards sounds like the major arcana and four aces?

"Groove IS in the heart, baby!" I loved that song by De-lite! That deck so reminded me of it... (Now I have it stuck in my head... :p )
I guess they didn't really concentrate on the meanings much, that sugar-candy sand castle doesn't look so tragic like :TTOW usually does!
I think I would like to design a deck for a girly magazine, could be fun :D

Now that is a strange deck indeed.. And now I wonder; what did you do with the Tarot back then, have you used it for any serious readings or was it merely a "gimmick" you liked to have ?
Just wondering because those cards look somewhat odd ;)

(I still can't believe I actually used this deck!)
I did use them for serious readings! Well it just goes to show how far I've come, doesn't it? Mind you, I had studied some Tarot before this deck, so I could equate the traditional decks with this deck.

So perhaps the fervant collecting is an attempt to overcompensate and bury the tragic beginning? LOL- just kidding, actually I like them, they do have that groovy, retro feel.

Behind a Great Spirit there often is a Dark Past. But the cards are not the worst around, not at all! I can't but agree on the groovy thing...
And my conscience is dirty too - I'll never be able to detect my first on the Net, I'm sure...

That lady dancing was so cute! I loved her hair-band! ;)
Kayne, The Gemini Rising has you.
(Or was it something else? Wasn't the movie called The Gemini Rising? Mh...)
