Don't know if this is where this should go, but...
Has anybody ever seen a deck where the Devil card showed a big, hulking, hairy man with downward curving horns as the devil, with one hand over a cage? In the cage was two little demon-type things, and the cage itself seemed to be made of gilded human bodies/body parts. It seemed like it was done in black and white, possibly a pen and ink type thing, but I can't be sure.
If nobody ever has, then I'll just take it as a sign I've finally fallen off the deep end. ;)

Hmmm... Don't know but it sounds pretty devilish! Actually... perhaps it is the sort of thing that guy who designed the aliens in the movie Alien might have done... (What was his name again???)
Fear not Cricket - I am sure SOMEONE will know it :)

"That guy" is H.R. Giger, but I don't know anything about Cricket's deck.

I know the card to which you refer is not in the Giger deck. The images on the cards in the Giger (it's a majors-only deck) were not designed for tarot; they're merely various works of his that someone selected to be slapped onto cards and sold to hapless victims of tarot addiction, like us. The whole premise irritates me a lot... in case you can't tell . It seems like they sort of pulled it off with the Bosch deck (whoever "they" are), but that's supposed to be really unreadable.

The Giger majors-only thing? Nope, it's $15. We recently got it in at Borders; I'm forgetting who publishes it. It comes with a book, too. I guess it must be a revamp, because it's just called "Giger Tarot."

I guess nobody's heard of it, then? Ah well. It was a long shot anyway. *L* Maybe it was an image to be put in the deck I'm working on.

I finally got off my tuches and scanned a sketch of the card, as I remember it. This was done minutes after the image jumped up and hit me, and includes notes taken of distinct impressions made at the time. Notes around the edges read:
main fig. hunched over, hand on gilt cage of nude human figures, two demons (very dark creatures) captured inside
Devil figure almost protective of the cage - moreso than the demons - is looking over shoulder, almost glaring--possibly a challenge to get the evil out?
*gilt cage of humans - shows inherent 'goodness of people 'capturing' the more base/animalaistic demons (can control lust, greed, etc.) but still under the influence of the devil
*original picture (mental) had devil smiling or smirking - possible influence of the Capricorn sense of humor? --note - dev. has back and down 'goat' horns
-has light from u/k **read unknown** source fading to dark shadowed edges - all around very dark card excepting cage/hand (almost as if cage were glowing) and where light from cage strikes devil's face
Now just hope this file attachment works. :)
