Ever heard that Amanda Lear created the Salvador Dalí deck?

In one of his books Hajo Banzhaf, the German tarot specialist, put up the thesis that the Dalí deck was not created by Dalí but by Amanda Lear who also did the negotiations when Dalí was first asked to create a special tarot deck for the James Bond movie "To live and let die" (hope I recall this title correctly). Yesterday I had the chance to meet Mr Banzhaf and of course I asked him which sources he had to put up this thesis but all he could tell me was that he learned it from a very reliable source (without naming it). Do you know more about that?

I must admit that I remain sceptical at this point in time. I was under the impression that the Dali deck was truly created by Dali, but with much influence from his wife (whose name, if I recall correctly, was Gala). I wonder if it is possible that Banzhaf heard that Lear was involved in the Tarot which Dali had been asked to parcipate in, and somehow, time has mixed a Tarot actually created by Dali with one he had initially been asked to work on but which Lear did instead?

Yep, that is correct apart that Dalí was first asked to draw a deck but his honorar was too high so the producers of this fim asked Mr Hall to create a deck.

My ex brother in law...worked for a publisher that published the book for the deck...ive got a proof copy Salvador Dali's Tarot by rachel Pollack...the intro definatily states that Dali painted it:TFOOL
