I just got this deck yesterday...
I was going thru the decks on this website and kept passing up the hanson-roberts deck because it reminded me of the handson brothers so i automatically assumed i would not be interested..I got to barnes and noble to buy 78 degrees of wisdom...I decide to check out the decks while I am there..I am looking at them..I keep getting drawn to this one deck..I didnt plan on buying one because there are so many decks i wanted to be sure of which one i got...So..I am looking at the decks and I keep getting drawn to this one deck...I go away and come back like 3 times...So finally I decide to pick the deck up and lo and behold it is the Hanson-Roberts deck....Am I dork or what? -LoL- ..Also I didnt notice it was the size of a deck of cards until I got it...Which I am happy about because sometimes I have trouble with my hands...
This deck..
I think what drew me to it is some of the images like the lion and serpent..It is kind of a christian feel..I am not a regular christian..i am considered non-denominal..I dont celebrate easter or christmas...
The only things I may not of liked to much was the angels..I believe there are angels or guardians out there..I disagree that they have white wings...Other then that i really like this deck..I havent done a reading yet so I guess we will see...
Anyone else have this deck?

hanson-roberts is one of my favorite reading decks. it has a new spin on the rws but the colors are easier on the eyes and the content doesn't feel quite as negative. ppl on it have a kind of child like appearance. it's a more adult deck than her whimsical deck. i don't know which rendition she did of the rws i like best--HR or the universal. i love both of them! they both fit in well w/ tarologues who prefer traditional/conservative decks vs. more modern decks like the wheel of change. if you want symbolism that is more paganish then the robin wood is prob more your cup of tea. personally, i think MHR has a good balance b/t christian and pagan symbolism. if christian symbolism bothers you, by all means avoid the connally deck.

The christian doesnt really bother me..I think that is why I was attracted to it....Also The Sun card reminds me of my own son..Sitting naked on a white horse with a big smile on his face...My son skips steps in growing up (such as not crawling or sitting up he went straight to running and walking) which makes this funny for me because he wouldnt ride a pony he would go straight to the horse...

I have the Hanson Roberts too, its a kind of comfort deck - I usually use the Spiral and study the Rider Waite but I like the illustrations on the Hanson Roberts deck and its as easy to read with as the R/W but more colourful and the faces on the cards are better draw than the R/W. :)
