I got Dave's tarot deck just recently. It's splendid. A most amazing set of cards.
Unfortunately, it comes printed on regular card stock--basically, heavy paper. I can see right away that if I use it, I'll end up smudging, bending and tearing it. Not like a normal deck where it will take a while to do so, but right away.
I don't want to have to wear gloves to use this deck--and I DO want to use it.
Any thoughts on a way to laminate or protect 78 beautiful cards?

they sell laminating machines now for around $50 at places like walmart. you can also go to a print shop. my brother in law gets a page of laminating plastic and puts it on but i think it's a tedious procedure for 78 cards.

I don't think laminating would work to well.
I would think that the deck would become to big and thick. Lamination is stiff. With all that, how would you shuffle ? my suggestion, get a second deck,,:)

you can buy a can of spray enamel from art/craft shops...artists use it to spray on their artwork, eg if they used a medium such as pastels or charcoal...
found an example of what i mean :)

Aerosol-type hair spray also works as a quick fix, though it has to be reapplied often.

i use hairspray (must be aerosaul [sp?]) on my artwork as well... It works great.
but I'd say if you really really are concerned to get the art store stuff to be safe.
