Does anyone know of a "Make -`Your -Own-Tarot Card kind of kit? I saw one, but it was out of print and could only be bought used! --(Kinda weird)...Anyways, has anyone ever made their own on this site? I'm feeling really guided to make my own right now, but I'm not sure where to start.

The BOTA publish a deck that you are meant to colour in yourself. Is that the sort of thing you're looking for?
Actually there's quite a few of us working on our own decks. Take a look at the Tarot Deck Creation study group on the Study Group board. })
And don't miss the First Aeclectic Collaborative Tarot...

I do believe there's a blank Tarot deck you can buy, called the Inspiration Tarot. Each card has a border, and that's it. All ready for you to make your own!

from what i heard and this BUMS me out... the Inspiration Tarot is out of print. at least that is what amazon.com did to it as i had it in my wishlist. i know its still available thru smaller metaphysical stores, eBay, etc.
but darnit... i wanted one. =)
speaking of eBay, there are all sorts of other blank tarot cards out there for you to design decks with. they differ in what print they put on the backs of the cards.
if you ask me, i'd design my cards first. then go to a local press house, like Kinko's and have them print them, cut them, and perhaps laminate them for usage.
or you can take two old packs of playing cards and do collage art over the front and there's your deck... again, laminate is optional! *gryn*
blessed be,

You're right... it's out of print. But there are blank decks available for about $8 US. I know you can get them at isisbooks.com

Doesn't the Inspiration deck have the astrological correspondences and the Hebrew letters in the margins? Or is that a different one?

i've heard that the tarot of light and shadow can be colored in and personalized that way. from what i've checked on amazon both the inspiration and BOTA are out of print b/c i wanted a copy. you may be able to put a request in and get a used copy but if it's used there's a chance the previous owner decorated it.

You can get BOTA from the BOTA website catalog
http://www.bota.org/cat1.html
its only 7.50 for majors and minors :)
Inspiration did have the correspondances, but I dont recomend it anyway, you see they already put a coating on it, so it makes it next to impossible to draw on, collage art doesnt stick well, about the only thing you can do is pen and ink by pressing really hard and carving into the surface.
I really think blank index cards area better option :)

Thanks for all your input! I can't wait to get started on mine!
Oooo! I also just went nuttzo and bought myself some birthday presents! This is my first mail order for cards and I can't believe how antsy I am!!! I ordered the Gendron, Osho Zen, and the inspiration tarot. I actually found one! --(It was cheap enough that I'm gonna check it out and see what I think- $10.00)
However, I am thinking that I like the index card/ Kinko's idea better!
I'll try both! I'm frusttrated though because I ordered them on Friday, and have been anxiously waiting, only to find out that my order didn't show up at there end, only my mailing information! So... I had to re-order today and now I'm going crazy waitng! What's wrong with me! I mean, i's not like I'm waiting on a check to come in the mail or anything...(Well, actually I am, but I'm more anxious about the cards!)
Thanks for letting me vent!!!
