My deck

Everyone's always dissing my deck. I got it at Barnes & Noble. It's called the Art of Tarot. It comes in a box with a small book and all 78 cards. The pictures aren't fancy or anything, so everyone says my deck stinks. Can someone cheer me up? My mom bought those cards for me and I like them.

I haven't looked through this deck, but I've looked at the box in the store, and the cards look very nice to me. The Minor Arcana aren't illustrated, but several folks on this forum prefer decks which don't have illustrated Minors. If you like the deck, then you're fortunate to have found one you really like. Some people (like me!) are still looking for their favorite deck! If you've found yours, that's great, 'cause how you feel about it is a lot more important than what anyone else feels about it. After all, it's you who are reading the cards. If they don't like your deck, let them get their own! :)

niah, i've very nearly bought this deck a few times. i think the drawings are clear and uncomplicated. perfect for someone learning tarot. furthermore, if your mother bought them for you that makes the cards even more special. i know my first deck wasn't anything special but my mother helped me get it and that made it special to me. if you communicate w/ this deck, don't worry about what others think. it sounds like they may be jealous. it's your relationship to the deck that matters most. listen to your inner self not others. if you start listening to your intuition about things now, it will help you on down the road w/ standing up to your peers on other issues. enjoy your deck. you deserve it!!

You just use which ever deck works for you!!!!
And for the people who keep giving you a hard time - tell them it works for you so what's it to them?? :)
I think it's wonderful that your mom gave you a deck!! That makes it even more special in my eyes!! I have a couple of decks that were given to me and I'd never get rid of them no matter what anyone else said.

Hi
I think this deck is really pretty, I love the colored news paper print that makes up some of the artwork. When ever i look at this deck I get a very warm feeling it is so friendly and non threatening it is like a happy puppy :) If you like it that is all that is important. I think this is a great, often overlooked tarot deck. Please keep us informed of your progress with it :)
