i'm already for a while interested in this one, he looks very special. the last days i want it more and more, it's haunting for me but i wanted to know if someone here has this tarotdeck and what are your expieriences with it, is it a useable, good deck or just nice to look at?
i'm studying art sciences here at the university of ghent (belgium), theatersciences are part of this study, so it looks nice to have.
(it's to see at www.wicce.com/phantasmagoric.html and on www.learntarot.com)

i own this one. it's neet. the LWB works more like a story talking about the cards as such rather than what the symbolism is. the cards themselves look like Tim Burton drawings.
the cards are a bit on the bigger side which makes them harder to shuffle. so instead of using them as normally, for readings, i use it as my tarot spells, games and rituals deck. the fanciful images on the deck work well for games and ritual.
however, if you are not into that... it's a good deck to add to your collection.
hope this helps.
blessed be,

i have the deck and don't use it. it does have a sense of humor but it's kind of strange to me. if it calls to you then go for it. the author works on the premise that life is a stage and we are all players doing a part. since you are into art and theater, it may work well for you. all the images cartoonish and unrealistic. the card meanings in the LWB are rather unique. i've never interpreted the cards the way the author does. i think it's a well done deck--just not my style. if you have anything to trade, we might could work out a deal. it's in good condition, barely used. only thing is postage can be rather expensive for overseas. i don't know but it might be cheaper to order it directly. but the offer is open if you have a tradeable deck in english. just send me a pm if you are interested since we aren't in the trade section.

I have this deck and love it.
Its definately an aquired taste and although the art is childlike the reference are adult in nature.
You have to have and open mind for this deck!

I got this deck in a wonderful trade (thanks truth!) and yes, it is a handful, but I'm liking it. This is one of those instances where actually studying the LWB is really necessary. Graham Cameron's divinatory meanings are for the most part sort of related to the RWS and Thoth meanings, but with various twists. This "twisting" is one of the things that caused me to trade away my Londa deck; however, in this case it works for me. Keep in mind, though, that if I had complete control over my life, it would probably be a Tim Burton film. :D

Rostie! YES!!! :) Its just $10.50 from Amazon! Too cool huh? I've looked at many tarot website stores and one was selling it for $22, seen others selling it for $18 and $15, guess that really shows that it pays (or saves) to shop around. By looking the Phantasmagoric Theater Tarot up on many websites, I saw so many of the cards. And this deck just screams out at me to buy it.
Good Luck on your exams!
