I have recently started reading Tarot by Piers Anthony. In his book the tarot deck is one hundred cards. I was wondering if the deck in his book which he called animation tarot is published?
Or is there a deck somewhat like that out there? Thanks

Hi, RedWood --
I've also read those books and was intrigued by Anthony's description of his Animation Tarot Deck. As far as I know there is no such published deck, but I would certainly be happy to find out that I'm wrong.

Fellow Piers Anthony readers, It sure would be
cool to find that deck, ready for a quest?

Ack. I thought I had safely buried my liking for Piers' ridiculous books. Now I find my thoughts lingering upon those delightfully wretched puns, those female characters that were cool most of the time but did randomly stupid things because they were female... It's sucking me in! AAaaaaahhh :TTOW

I agree; the first I read was The Green Mother ( do I even have that right?)
I can really see that Orb and the others already do seem a tarot deck!
Thereis no resisting Piers...I tried
Hope someone can find the deck.

I have been looking for the tarot deck..Yet no luck..His tarot deck makes sense to me with the 5 elements..Fire, Water, Earth, Air and Spirit...I think that if there is spirit it is the one that holds the other elements together..I don't study tarot or do to much with it at the moment..Does intrigue me though. I just found this site yesterday it is very interesting.

I have emailed Piers Anthony website to see if they have made a deck.. I am waiting for reply.. This is what I have found so far by doing online searches.
From Piers Anthony offical website, August 2000 newsletter
And yet another that's not exactly a game, and is not Xanth, but can be played as a game, depending: Stephanie Peters in Germany has made her own Animation Tarot deck, the one that goes with my novel Tarot, with nice representations of all 100 cards. If this interests you, contact her at StephanieP@gmx.de. She does speak English, 80% of which she says she learned from my books. I can't help liking that girl.
If I can't find a published deck I have considered making my own...In the one volume book of Tarot that has all 3 books in one.The book has an appendix at the end that tells you what the cards are..If anyone is interested I could type them out for you.. Let me know.

Now I know what to do with some of the truly offensive and patronising
tarot books I keep around... I've been worried that if I free them to a
used book store or even goodwill, some poor potential tarot devotee will
fall into the murk of something like "Tarot in 5 minutes" (a gift, though well-intentioned, can sometimes feel like an insult).
Know where I can pick up some molten lead?

You can find soldering lead easily enough... ;)
