Hi folks,
My long expected deck from AGM AGMüller Switzerland has finally arrived.
I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed.
Not only from the 30 € I spent on the whole thingy for handling, posting and custom's duty (they did not tell me THAT) but the "Roots of Asia" turned out to be the German Version of the deck (although I had ordered the English one!) but also the Roots of Asia seems to be more a deck for meditation than for reading (you also get this impression from the LWB).
Any one else out there with the "Roots of Asia" and another opinion on it?

Faunabay and I ordered this deck as well. Mine should arrive any day now and I will look through it and get back to you. I'm sorry you are dissapointed in the deck. Good think I like meditational decks!
Fauna sis? you out there?

I'm here! :)
First of all you need to get in touch with them about the wrong version. They should do something about that.
Now on to my opinion. I definitely think this is a meditation not reading deck for sure.
But as a meditation deck it's wonderful! I can lose myself in the pictures very easily. The artwork is a bit fuzzier than I expected (or wanted really) but it's still beautiful! (the 2 of cups is amazing!)
And the LWB is bigger than normal. It has a couple different spreads (one 23 card spread called the wheel of wisdom!! And also gets into an explanation and "how to" of insight meditation. :) Definitely a meditation deck huh?? LOL

I renounced on sending it back to get an English version because first of all, sending it back to Switzerland would also be about 5 - 10 € posting costs for me (depending on what shipping way I'd choose plus insurance), maybe another 3 weeks waiting for delivery and maybe again paying for handling and cusotm's duty, that would all mean extra expenses for me (imagine: I could have bought 2 decks for the 30 € I spent for shipping, handling etc).
I flipped through the LWB which is really a thick booklet but I did not come across the spread you mention, maybe there is also a difference in the LWB?
Anyway, as I do not have an explicit meditation deck in my collection I'll keep it. I also like the idea with Garuda birds as air elemetents, elephants for disks, etc.
