Some Rohrig stupidity

With all the disembodied body parts in the international version, I wonder why they felt the need to pants 3 cards who were naked below in the german edition If you look at http://www.tarotgarden.com/database/dbsearchengine.php?search_type=blob&pageenter=0 (not sure if that link will work, if not go to www.tarotgarden.com and look up Rohrig) ad click on view more samples for the second entry, the German edition, to see the difference between the original and the International version. If they were going to make him change it why not something more useful, like translating the German notebook pages into English, it kind of downplays the artists vision.

liliana, i don't know what to say. it's funny to me.the moral majority has forced the rohrig to put pants on 3 cards. i'm sure the artist had to think it was ridiculous. it's not like we haven't seen those body parts before! i've been told by some european friends that americans are considered sexully repressed. well, those cards definitely makes the point clear.

Its soooo stupid tho, its like telling the artist to putpantson 3 cards in the Cosmic Tribe lol, I guess penises and breasts are less offensive if they are detatched. Frankly being detatched makes them more disturbing to me. And geeze, the body part on the work card was miniscule to begin with, hardly anyone would notice it lol :THP

i didn't consider the nudity on the german version of rohrig disturbing. you're right--the body parts in question are so small they are barely noticeable--sorry guys. i'm a real prude when it comes to deck nudity so if it doesn't bother me it has to be a minor detail. however, one of the reasons i don't like the cosmic tribe is b/c i find the nudity so offensive. however, if they were to put some pants on say the fool card, i might could tolerate the cosmic tribe deck!! LOL :p

And apperantly theres some symbolism to the hanged man being naked, as its even written in the book that he is. Yet they never changed the english version so the book says hes naked when hes not :) Pollux and I were talking and decided we actually do like the Princess better with the pants, as she has a top on, we wondered why she would be flying around with a top but no pats anyway lol :THP
