I travel quite a bit for my work and I always try to seek out places to buy Tarot decks in every city I visit. This week I've been in Montreal (beautiful city, but it's COLD!!!) and I was surprised to find a deck for sale that I've never seen before called the Tarot di Pumariega.
This was one of those decks that I just couldn't resist! The artwork is quite surreal and there are really some interesting interpretations here. For example, on the Fool, the dog is a vicious thing with his teeth clamping onto the Fool's upper thigh, while the Fool himself has some arrows circling his head indicating dizziness or scatteredness... I can't wait to get more familiar with these images!
Here are some pictures of some of the cards
(I think that has got to be the most phallic Tower card I've ever seen!)
I normally don't buy decks with pips for the minor arcana, but this one I couldn't resist (I think the only other deck I own with pips is the Tarocchi Bizzaro from Italy). And besides, with the value of the Canadian dollar, it cost me next to nothing!
And it turned out to be a truly international deck: Bought by an American in a French-speaking Canadian city, it was designed by a Spanish artist, but the LWB inside the deck is written in German!

Wow, that Tower really is phallic, isn't it!? Blimey...
I've never seen this deck before... Its quite odd, isn't it?

PS- Keep us posted on your experiences with this deck!

I am bringing this deck up from the dead!
I have this AWESOME deck now, and I can't believe I've never heard of it before! I believe this deck is OOP now. So I am so glad I was lucky enough to win that auction!
I posted a little review on the site mentioned by Mojo.
Along with the Fool, I especially love the Star card!!!
I haven't read with this deck yet, but I'm sure I will soon.

It looks like it is being brought down by something downright feminine. That shape at the end of the lightening bolt is shaped like a vagina. Talk about open for interpretation!
