hey, does anyone have the tarot of the cat people? i vaguelly remember having a friend read me with this deck and i remember it looked really nice. just wondering if anyone out there who owns it has any problems with it cuz i'm thinking of getting it myself. also, it has a sentimental value to me as it was the first reading i ever recieved from someone aside from myself. :D thanks guys.

I traded for it not too long ago. I really like it, but defintiely get the book too. It explains everything in such a fun way. The book is like a travel guide for the world of the cat people!!!! IT's so much fun to rread.

I want to get this deck, I tried to buy it on-line but the bookshop did not have it at the time. I will get it with th book now !
I wonder how my cats will react to it; probably the same as to my other decks. Just sit on it if you want a human's attention - never fails.

I have it, or I should say my husband does :)
Personally, I love the art, but find it impossible to read with. The art just isnt intuitive enought for me. The best way to get meaning out of it is by looking at the expression on the cats, and even then its sometimes hard. The book is very helpful, if you can handle memorizing everything about a fantasy world just to read a tarot deck. I think something more this worldis etter to read with utits just my opinion. Plenty of people read with this deck without a problem. If it calls to you, go for it. Given your history with it it'd be nice to have in the collection anyway :)

i have it but will probably trade it away for something else.
i got it in a trade too! i just don't think it found it's right owner yet:-)
i liked the book and the art is really good - i just didn't click with it.
but that doesn't mean i think it is a bad deck.
i don't think one has to memorize the book, the book is there for background, but if you have a working knowledge of tarot - then that cat people tarot is not that big a change.
i think it is neat what you write about your first reading - that it has sentimental value.
think back at the people you read for - perhaps they are now looking for the deck you used:)

Both I and a friend have it & neither one of us could get the thing to work for us! She gave hers to her son, who DID get it to work for him, but mine is currently buried from a move to a new place.
The cards are hard to read with, but give it a go if you like it. It just wasn't the deck for me.

My best friend has this deck, and she loves it! I think the cards are a bit too dark though. *s*

I have it in my collection. I bought it because of the cats but until now I never used it for a reading. I don't think it is so dark but it is unusual.
