Tarotgarden is doing an Egyptian thee this month. I dont usually like Egyptian decks, but I thought Id browse through it out of boredom. The Ancient Egyptian Tarot by Clive Barrett (second edition or reprint) IS now onsale at amazon.com. After browsing there and not even being able to decide on one deck, I realized I simply can't chose among the 15 decks I REALLY want! And really I shouldn't even spend the money on one . So I didn't order any :( . ( I'd use the little crying face if it were still there). I've heard good things about the Ancient Egyptian deck though, and it sure looked tempting!

Lilianna, from the link you posted, the empress and the star are really beautiful. The minors look like just pips. Another amazing find!

DTH, to answer your question, the 'pips' are the non-court cards of the minor Arcana (some people use the term only when these are non-illustrated, but most use the term for all these non-court minor Arcana cards).

i recieved the Ibis in a trade and love it even if it has just pips for the minors. there are times when i prefer pips to minors with story-telling images that are just so "off". this deck looked really pretty too. i especially liked the background for the minors with the crackling paint, a surface almost alive.

Well, Lili, that deck really is a little beauty! I wouldn't mind getting a copy for myself... But like you said, its pretty expensive... Kiama

I think I am going to purchase the AET by Clive Barrett. I saw it at chapters, and the cards look really good!!!
