I went to a psychic fair today and got myself the Osho Zen deck!
It's only my second deck (now don't laugh, all you 50+ deck owners!!), but for me it's the beginning of my tarot deck collection... :D
(Found an empty drawer yesterday, I guess it can hold at least 30 decks... whooohey!! ;) )

I've been through the whole deck several times now, and I like it more and more. The artwork is really beautiful and the images are very well chosen and really speak to me.
I did take out the "Master" card though, because I don't like it...
I did my first reading with it, a new deck spread:
1) What will you teach me?
Page of Water: Understanding
2) What do I need to do?
No-Thingness
3) What will our relationship be like?
Three of Rainbows: Guidance
I feel like the deck is telling me that we're going to be great friends... :)

i take the master card out as well, not because i don't like, but i want a 78 card deck.
my thoughts on your spread:
page of water:
the deck will teach you to go beyond your own limits, there is more than you can see now.
no-thingness:
the deck wants you to trust your potential, go with its flow.
3 of rainbows:
your relationship will be one of letting the deck guide you, listen to it.
enjoy, looks like a great deck for you :)

That's exactly what I interpreted! ;)
And I found that really easy, the images and the key words on the cards are so clear, that they alone already tell me a lot about the meaning of the cards. The book that comes with the deck gives a lot of additional information, which makes it even more clear.
Yes, I'm really happy with this deck!! :)
I just hope my Rider-Waite won't get jealous now...

congratulations on getting a wonderful deck
when i first got the osho zen deck i was weary of it, i thought it would be quite a stretch from a "normal" tarot and that i would have to re-learn a whole new system.
but it is really very simple.
i just take what comes with this deck.
i choose not to se no-thingness as another version of the hierophant - i simply see it as what it is no-thingness and take it from there.
just great that this was the card you got for what to do:-)
do nothing, no boundaries, no old teachings, just start out with no preconceptions.
i have done a few professional readings with it but i just have to face it - the deck speaks loudest in solitude - just me and the cards.

Same here. At first, I compared the cards with the equivalents in the Rider-Waite, but after I did that first reading, I decided to let that go, because the cards as I saw them were clear enough for me, I didn't need to add any other meanings from the Rider-Waite.

This is a fabulous deck! It is non-traditional but I have found many parallels ... the way I see many cards is that they have the same meaning as in the more traditional decks but looked at from a different point of view, a zen view. The colors are also very vibrant and the quality of the art is great! There is an older thread here where we discussed this deck at length a few months back if you are interested.
