I just got this, more for my collection than anything else, and I have to say I like it. But then again, I am a baseball fan, (Go M's). I'm also keeping an eye out for a good deal on the Tarot of Baseball, which also looks interesting. Yeah, I know, they are not traditional at all, and usually I don' t like that...except when I do. :D
Anybody else have this deck? Have you ever used it to read with?
I might even try to read with it sometime, because I think it would be a good deck to use for some of our friends, who are *totally* crazy for baseball, and might pay attention to a reading with cards they can relate to.

Well, thanks to all the bad influences here I have developed a tarot wish list and this deck is on it. The two decks I own are very feminsist (Goddess & Motherpeace) I think this would be a good counterbalance to them. I too am a baseball fan, teamless at the moment, being an ex-Yankee fan(Boring, boring, boring)but not quite ready to go over to the Red Sox. I just think it's likely to be a cool deck.

My husband has both the Baseball Tarot and the Tarot of Baseball. He prefers the Tarot of Baseball and was able to give wonderfully accurate readings with it right from the start (even though he had never read tarot before) just by using the baseball symbolism. Unfortunately, the Tarot of Baseball is no longer in print ( I checked with US Games) so if you see it somewhere, don't hesitate, snap it up before it's too late!

i bought tarot of baseball for my husband a while back as a kind of compromise. b/t us. i love tarot and he loves baseball. i was dumfounded how a man who is dumbfounded by tarot could look at the cards and practically do a reading. it was my turn to be dumbfounded then. he took time from an all important braves game to look thru th cards and explain their significance to me. talk about reversing roles! i intended this to be a joke but there's potential we can use this deck to get to know each other better. i guess the real jokes on me! :)

That is too sweet, Truth! :)
Welcome to Aeclectic, DreamDancer! Another Georgian! Where are you? I'm in Atlanta, and we have some more Atlantans around here. I keep thinking we should start the Atlanta Tarot Society.

Tarot of Baseball is on the sale table at Border's for $7.99.
I bought it last night and haven't opened it yet. It is the boxed set. I can see the book and layout sheet with the deck.
Go Mets! (Please)

*sigh* This will prove something I think. })
I've found the Baseball Tarot and book set at Ebay for $2.49! Naturally adding postage this will arrive costing me something like £5.00. :)
Yes! I admit it! I'm a baseball fan! Cut me, I bleed Dodger blue. :D

i have since my last post on this thread obtained both the tarot of baseball and the baseball tarot. i really like both for different reasons. one has a sense of humor and the other is more serious with better art. you can read them like a rws deck but just throw in baseball anachronisms as you read. great under rated deck imho particularly if you are a sports fan.

Well, I've just bought a new Baseball Tarot book/card set on Ebay. With shipping from Pennsylvania to Suffolk the total cost was $6.49 and shipping was nearly twice the cost of the set! With my handy calculator this has cost me £4.24 and not a fiver as I predicted. :D
I feel a bit sorry for all those baseball card collectors who bought the Baseball Tarot and found out they are not baseball cards!

I never seriously though about the baseball tarot because I thought it would be a bad collection of baseball card like images with barely a connection. I also won a baseball tarot set. :) And, while we're at it you can drool over my Kalevara set, yep that was how it was spelled, for US$15. I can hardly wait. (yum yum tuna) Waaaayyy too many interesting options up today.
Hey pollux. I'm willing. Got anything to trade?

So far, I have never traded used decks *LOL* I always bought new ones and shipped them - not shrink-wrapped cos I wanted to check they were kosher before shipping (bad first experience with Kiama's washy Vision Quest that I did not check...).
