I've found a deck!!

Just wanted to let you all now that after a few hours of serious searching, I found that the Fantastical Tarot by Nathalie Hertz is the perfect deck for me. It really took me by surprise, because I was pretty much just looking for a deck with an Asian theme. Luckily I started looking at some others too, or I never would have found this one. I've read in several books and online resources that when choosing a tarot deck, you'll "know" the right deck; it'll jump out at you. At first that was what I was looking for, a deck that would pop out of the screen and into my lap. But they came and went, and I began to think that I was never going to find the perfect deck, and that maybe I should just get the Robin Wood deck. Fortunately, I found this. Now, not only do I know exactly what deck I want, I have a nice little list of decks to get in the future, and only one of them is Asian! Smiles, Houklani

Oops, I'd better clarify before I get people confused. I haven't actually bought the deck yet. Unfortunately I live in a pretty small city where not too many people are into tarot. So it'll be a while before my order gets here. Smiles, Houklani

Yes, I've already ordered it Rhiannon, though I was a little suspicious of the girl I talked to.... I had to tell her that the store actually did sell tarot cards, and that they were located by the aroma therapy.... She made me spell "Hertz" four times. Gahh.... I have just ordered this deck also! I expect it to be here in a few days. This deck has actually been on my wish list for Years! I don't know why it took me so long ?! I'm looking foward to it! Interesting to hear someone else is also getting same deck. I already have the vampire tarot by same author. I've never used that one for readings though.

One of the things I like about the Fantastical Tarot are that some of the cards are in nightime, not something I usually see in Tarot decks. I also love the liveliness of the colors. If you like the artwork in this deck you may also want to check out the Londa Tarot.

Jewel - Yes, the Londa Tarot is definitely on my wish list as well. Is is just me, or does everyone feel more than slightly giddy when they're waiting for their first deck to arrive? Or any new deck? I've been driving my sister crazy by going on about it these past few days. :D Smiles, Houklani

Yes! Yes! I am definitely giddy with excitement! I've ordered the Ancient Egyptian AND the fantastical. They've already shipped and I'm trying to guestimate the day of their arrival. And it should be very soon. The only annoying part is that it's probubly coming UPS and I have to track it and then WAIT by the door all day so I don't miss the postman! ****************giddy and dancing********************* **************************************************** My husband and son think I'm nuts to collect so many tarot decks. But he doesn't know I've ordered this one. You folks are the only ones who know! *************giddy happy dance!***********************

~giggles with purplelady~ you are so cute *LOL* ... my soon to be spousal unit also thinks I am nuts to have so many (and he hasn't even seen 1/2 of them *LOL*), but yesterday when I came in and told him how I sold a couple of decks and books, and obtain some decks in trade he was quite surprised ... particularly when I told him I'd use the money from the sales for our honeymoon *LOL*. I quote him "you mean to tell me that there are actually people out there other than you that will buy that stuff?" *ROFLMAO* ... if he only knew of our secret society of taro-holics ~giggles~ Hope your decks arrive real soon!!! let us know how you like them!

Unless you don't consider Alaska as a part of the US, Kaz, then I have to contradict you. It takes at least 2 weeks for anything to get here!!! Anyway, I'm glad to know I'm not the only crazy tarot person. :D Smiles, Houklani
