Has anyone seen this deck before? A friend (delani) has it and I flipped through the cards the other day. It's such a wonderful, bright, cheery, fun deck!
It was made in the 70's by an artist living in the art and music community of Christiania in Copenhagen, Denmark. So they have sort of the 70's look to them! :)
Check them out

It's not very easy to find but it is still in print.

Wow, I've never seen them before, but I like them. There is an interesting feel to the images, and I like the urban/music theme.
(No, no, not another deck to add to The List......)

Doesn't look like a deck I would use for reading... But it's very original, the guitar players and the Moon card with the two bottles. Must have been made by a very creative artist !

Yes, she reads with it. Says she has to be in the right mood for it, but that it does great readings. She says its a good intuitive deck - that it doesn't follow the traditional meanings all the time.
Delani's not one of us tarot-holics. :D She only has decks she actually reads with. LOL
And she's doing fine, just a bit overwhelmed right now with life. I told her to join the club!!!
And oh by the way - I just won a bid for this deck on ebay last night! ROFL So I should be getting it soon.

I found this deck at my local shop where I get most of my decks. It does have a 70s feel to the art. The box says the art style is "phantasmagoric," which I think is a good word for it. I like the arts orientation of the pictures, and especially the circus or carnival scenes. Many of the cards may be described as "trippy" or surreal. The inspiration for this deck was an artist's colony in Denmark, and the LWB (which is substantial) offers many personal views of the cards and stories of their creations by the artist, Birgit Boline Erfurt. Some cards were inspired by real people -- friends of the artist. It seems to be an intensely personal creation that Erfurt has chosen to go public with. Very brave. I like decks where lots of thought has gone into the interpretation of the image -- where there are stories behind each card. This deck is a favorite for that. I have never read with it, though. Maybe I should try. The cards with the real people portrayed on them seem to be "haunted" -- in a good way. Their essence seems to hover in the room with me when I look at their cards. If you can find this deck, and are intrigued, I would recommend it.

Well I got my Karma deck yesterday. I've got to say this is one amazingly weird deck! :D I really, really like it!! LOL
What's fun along with the great, strange artwork is the LWB is very interesting to read. For the first time with any of my decks, I read the LWB all the way through while flipping through the deck. The LWB for this deck is actually very useful!!
It seems like a deck I'll use in readings, but I never know for sure until I can use the deck for awhile. I'll let you know more later.

let me know what you think of it, jewel. i need to cool off and get back on the wagon for about 6 months. i hope you hate it so i won't need it, too!
you know sometimes i really feel bad, being such a tarot-holic and loving posting at aeclectic while there's a war going on and our troops are in afghanistan. some things that mehrdad has said has really hit me. so many ppl are suffering. it's not that i'm being like nero and fiddling while rome burned. i have a brother in the army. my husband could be called back if things got really bad even tho he's retired army. i guess i have to catch what happiness i can or lose my sanity from worry over the mess the world is in. i know i do what i can in small ways to make a difference in the world. some are meant to do big things and others aren't.
my gift to aeclectic is (i hope) making y'all laugh at my posts or giving you something to think about. i feel for the most part i can be myself here and the comradery we all share makes me feel better about the things i cannot change in the world even tho i hope and pray for the highest good of all.

Well lets see if I had better luck then with the Alexandra Gennetti deck (got the book but it did not come with the cards!) ... ~sighs~ ... Its hopless ... I want them all!
Truthsayer, I will give you a report when I receive the deck :)

I just bought this today on sale. I've been interested in it for a while but thought it might be very bright like my Parrott Tarot or the New Age Tarot, and didn't want more of the same. I like it because the colours are greyed out somewhat, and most of all I like it because the cards are BIG.
Favourite cards:
1) The World - usually not too crazy about this card in any deck but I like this one.
2) The Star - Lovely blueish cast to it that I like.
3) Ten of Cups - Love that fan, my husband seemed quite taken with it too. (Gee, I wonder why?)
4) Six of Cups - How apt for nostalgia. I cling to Leonardo and live for art and history, which can sometimes cause a reality shift of huge proportion.
;-0))))
5) Three of Swords - Whew, finally someone who thought to resist the temptation of the cheesy stabbed heart. I liked her veil--kind of a pun for vale of tears for me.
6) Page of Cups - Something about that bubble or speech balloon is very neat.

i got this deck in a trade from someone on here that did not like it. i actuly love the deck, it reminds of the dali paintings, i live near the dali museam so maybe i m baised. the deck reminds of a deep insight into the mind of a severely mentally ill person like i m drilling into the head of a mad man. but i mean that in a good way! i like that aspect of the deck. or maybe and insane carival.
