Portal Tarot-Update

Thank you everybody for your overwhelming enthusiasm for our deck, The Portal Tarot. I had asked permission to post about the deck several weeks ago, but had decided to wait until we were ready to offer it for sale...David and I are now ready to take orders for it. You guys jumped the gun for us and we are deeply appreciative!! We are planning on adding Minor's to the deck. This promises to be a challenge...as we want to integrate the overall meditative feel of the Portal concept in the individual minor cards...but not have them be predominant. As we create the cards, we'll post them to the site...our goal is to have the Minor's finished within a year. It took us approximately 10 months to create the Major's. I wanted to let people know that the real card versions are true to the image you see on your monitor...only it's more vivid...like a living watercolor. The card's will be comprised of the actual art...not copies. Each card will be a laminated original. We decided to do this because the final result is absolutely stunning...if a bit more expensive. traci, is it possible to aquire only the minors separate later or ??? wondering if i should get the majors now or wait for a full deck.... kaz

We are going to sell the Minor's seperately to people who have already ordered the Major's at a seperate cost...ie. they won't have to pay the full-deck price. That way people don't have to buy another whole set. When the deck is complete, we will continue to offer the Major's for sale seperate from the rest. A Major's only version and a complete version. At this point, we have only begun to brainstorm ideas around the Minor's...and when we originally posted the deck on CompTarot and some other Tarot lists...the feedback was overwhelming...people seemed to want it now mostly for meditative purposes....so we decided to go ahead and offer what we have completed. It takes a long time for David to render the images as we create them...so if a version doesn't turn out the way we want...we have to basically start from scratch. Doing the Minor's just from a technical standpoint will take twice as long, because there are almost three times as many cards. We hope that offering the deck this way, will give people the opportunity to either buy only the Major's or the entire deck, assuming we do a good enough job in integrating the minors with the majors. That's one reason why we offer the images in the large size...they literally draw you in. It's going to be a challenge to get good continuity throughout the entire deck. I got my Portal today and it's absolutely stunning! Can't wait to see what the Minors are going to be like... ;)
