Tarot of the Witches by E. Cannon Reed

Ok, I was mislead by some cards I had seen in the internet and thought that I should have this deck. I got it on Saturday and was pretty disappointed. Most of the persons on the cards look pretty grim (I've never seen a Magician with such a terrible grimace!), all court cards are the same persons only with different symbols and different colours in the clothing, etc. Anyone out there who works with this deck?

I used this deck for a while, until I got the Celtic Dragon... I hated the Courts: I coldn't read them at all! They really were a dissapointment for me when I opened the deck... They really don't evoke any meanings whatsoever! Their expressions are the same, their stance is the same... You can't tell anything from them, apart from the elements they rule in... Kiama

It bothers me a lot that I did not spent the € on another deck, maybe the Wheel of Change or Buckland Romani.

(((((((((((Catlin))))))))))))) Could you return the deck to the sop, get your money back, and get one of the other decks? Kiama P- Isn't it funny how there are so many misleading things? I have found that there are quite a few decks I see on the internet, y'know, about 6 cards from them, which I really like... So I buy the deck, and find out the 6 cards I saw on the Net are the ONLY ones I like!

I ordered the thing from amazon.de and frankly speaking I am not inclined to spent some further € on posting and making the queue at the pot office for half an hour. Maybe I'll put it in a trade or try it for readings during the Magickal Week at Magic Garden. the teen witches there will be frantic when they'll see the darn thing.

He he! I like that reading idea! I know what you mean about the appeal of it to teen witches: That huge siver pentgram on the black background of the backs of the cards is pretty noticeable... Good luck with whatever you decide to do with it! Kiama

Hi Kaz, I remember having seen a thread in which Pollux told us that he'll leave a.net. I don't know the exact reason, maybe there was something behind the scenes. Did you try the e-mail link in the profile? If it should be inactive, just sent me a pm, maybe I knwo another place to locate him.

I felt the exact same way when I finally got my hot little hands on the Witches Tarot. I was a little disappointed but I'm going to try to read up in the Qabalah aspect of the deck. Some companion books were recommended to me in a thread I posted about the deck a little bit ago. I'll research and see if it helps. If it doesn't, then the teen witches will be very happy with me too. ;)

HERE I AM!!! :D I still have to hear from that friend! And days have passed!!! *LOL* Catlin keep that deck! I might need it! Actually I would be really interested in seeing all the deck. I have that impression that I would not like all of it, but just that couple of cards I have seen. For example, here on Aeclectic's database, that Ace of Pentacles is gorgeous... YET I CAN'T RELATE TO IT AND ITS MEANING!!! Also that three of Wands... Where's the Endevour? The Exploration? The Enterpise? (he boasts... he's getting so deep in Tarot lately... ARGH!!! He's got exams soon!!! *LOL*)
