Victoria Regina!!

I'm so excited! Cricket and I are trading the Victoria Regina! I got to look through this deck for the first time last weekend and I'm so enamoured (?) of it. It's so pretty and intricate!! And the book looks fascinating. There are so many cards to love (though I gotta admit, the guy with ten guns sticking out of his back does look kinda silly).

Would anyone (psst, Truth!) like to share their experiences with the Victoria Regina?

I am not truth, sorry. :(

But I do love this deck. I agree about the swords card, and also the Princess of Swords where the gun is sort of facing an odd angle. However, that is my only beef. I am not to much into black and white decks and this is the only one that does not have any color in it.

I love the companion book and would highly recommend a lot of the suggestions in the bibliography if you are into Victorian life or royalty. (I have done my fair share studying both)

I own it, and use it.
Some folks can work with it. Others cannot. I find (in readings) it is ‘to the point’ and not too subtle. Perhaps it is simply that I read with it well, and it is not the deck at all. I tend to use it more for general readings, opposed to relationship readings.
Let us know how you relate with it, once you get it.

Hi, I just had to say I got this deck about 2 months ago after a period of not being able to read. (a dry spell we all go through).

This pack is my favourite. I would give up most of my other decks now because I find it so right.

The chalice spread is now my favourite spread and I find that this deck is always on the ball.

With regards to the lack of colour, I coloured one or two of the card pictures in the book to see what effect it had but I have to say that the cards seem to lose something when in colour.

I find the book very enlightening and entertaining and although I don't like to use the books that come with cards I find that this one often clarifies something I can't quite make out and hits the nail on the head. The seperate section on court cards is useful too as court cards have never been my strong point. I can more easily identify personalities now, and give more in depth readings than before.

I intend to keep using this one and have even stopped collecting other decks.

Anyone want any old decks? (Just kidding).

I got this deck a little while back, but haven't done any reading with it. I was so drawn in by the artwork and the theme. I ordered my deck from Sarah Ovenall. She and Georg Patterson were kind enough to sign my book for me. She is such a delightful person to do business with.

Now that it's summer break from school, I'm looking forward to getting acquainted with this deck. It's such a beauty, and the velvet bag and white box are really wonderful bonuses.
