I ordered this deck from the artist's website and received it yesterday. It was $36 U.S. including shipping. Definitely another favorite. The art is misty -- there's no edge to the lines -- and you'd swear the cards glow with their own self-produced light. Imagery is full of fairies in all shapes and sizes. There is nothing in the pictures that would offend or scare anyone. It's a very positive deck, attractive but not cutesy. You can order it with or without a carved wooden box (I ordered it with), and it comes in a little flannel bag with a fairy wing pin for a fastener. Many of the cards have new and interesting takes on the traditional imagery. If you're into the Fae World, you need to check this deck out!
Artist's website is www.hoose.com

wow, thanks for sharing the website. I see what you mean about the glowing. It's nice that you can order it with the wooden box too.

I was looking at some of the pics. I particularly like the Tree!

after much deliberation,i finally bought my fae deck last week. it really is a nice set. i've bought several self-published decks and this has to be the nicest set i've bought. the cards are good quality. a good size for small hands. placed w/in a piece of flanned inside nice carved box. i think the price has gone up since last summer to round $41 but i can't complain. i've spent much more on decks that are only of the major arcana. there is a card autographed by greg hoose and a booklet of poetry on each card. one thing about greg hoose i find interesting is that his father was a magician and his mother a fairy artist so magic and fairies have long been a part of his life. he admits not knowing as much about tarot but i can deal with that. the art bothers me some b/c the colors look muddied in an attempt to darken colors. i tend to prefer clear colors even if the card is dark so this observation is probably a personal problem and wouldn't bother most ppl.
i'm glad i got this set. it is a great contribution to my collection.

As I am sure at least one you expected ~looks at Truthsayer and Faunabay~ I have finally broken down and ordered this deck today. I guess I was feeling a little down and disspointed at the decks I have recently acquired (with the exception of the Wheels of Change) that well ... what could cheer me up more than more faeries? so now I have 2 faerie decks coming my way :) YAY!
