I am so excited, and only the tarotholics here will completely understand my glee :)
I've been keeping an eye out for this deck for about six months, but the timing just wasn't right for my pocketbook.
About 1 1/2 weeks ago I saw a very non-descriptive entry for the PoMo, on sale for 20.00. For that price I decided to go ahead and buy it, and not e-mail the seller with questions - like is it the book only, or the deck only, or the condition, etc.
It finally arrived, and it's the whole deal, in nearly perfect condition. To be honest, I was almost expecting it to be just the book, which would have been *okay* since I would have gotten the deck eventually...but this is much better. :D

Excellent! It must have been meant for you; and what an act of faith just taking a chance like that!
I hope you get many happy readings out of it.

I did the same thing on ebay a while back. They had it listed "buy it now" for only $25!!!! I jumped on it and was very happy to see the completed deck and book arrive. :D
So everyone realize it is possible to find the PoMo on ebay at a reasonable price - just keep your eyes open!!!
I don't think I'd ever read with it, but it's a great collector's deck!!

Congratulations! :D It's so exciting to get a deck you've been wanting for a long time (especially those that are OOP).
I haven't read with mine, either, but I love the art.

Okay -- three lucky people on this thread. But you've given me new hope. It seems that actually obtaining a copy of this vanishing item is possible.
I would not have said anything to the seller either. Interested questions will sometimes send a signal. But when I saw the name of the thread, my first thought was "a hundred-fify bucks, at least."

You know what's really sad? I used to own this deck/book set, many years ago. I got it through QPB or some other book club that had it featured - at a good price, no less - but while I enjoyed shuffling through it and got a kick out of some of the images - the Fool stood out, as did the description of the Fool as the one who "kicks up a crazy wisdom" - I didn't really see it being a deck I would actually use. And so, in a fit of spring cleaning - quite a while ago - and having NO IDEA that this was, or would become, a hot collector's item, I sold the damn thing at a used bookstore in town.
Now I'm tempted to see if they still have it, after however many years. Probably not... :(
Oh, well. It's not as if I'm lacking for decks that I use and enjoy. ;) But I can tell you I didn't get 20 or 25 dollars from the used bookstore!
